Lainchan Scandinavia Meetup

!!!! UPDATE !!!! TICKET LOTTERY ENDS 24TH https://www.geekevents.org/ TICKET SALE STARTS 1ST DECEMBER http://www.gathering.org/tg16/page/english/ FOR UPDATES CREATIVE COMPOS ARE OUT HERE http://www.gathering.org/tg16/article/6/kreative-konkurranser-pa-tg16 TL;DR, THEY HAVE PROGRAMMING, GAMES AND DEMOSCENE COMPOS !!!! UPDATE !!!! Alright lains, i've found some people that would be interested in a meetup in Scandinavia, and i'm suggesting a meetup at The Gathering >What is The Gathering? The Gathering is the second largest computer party in the world with 5700 attending every year. The party lasts from 23-27th of April http://www.gathering.org/tg15/ >But thats gaming only, right? Wrong, it's also programming, hacking, cosplaying, talks, creative competitions and lots of hardware and expensive computers >How do I register and get a ticket? Registration starts in december. For a week you will be able to register for a ticket. After that you'll get a random placement in the queue and can buy up to 5 tickets at a time. I highly suggest you offer to sell tickets to lainchanners AT THE ORIGINAL PRICE (its illegal to sell at higher prices), due to many people will not be able to get a ticket due to the random queue system. The thread will be updated when registration and other questions may come up. Please reply if you're interested, we'd like a rough number of lainchanners who would join us before doing something crazy Also, FREE STICKERS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot7BXJzG9o8 Video for those interested

Bar that, The Gathering is a metal band.

>>12672 Speaking of which, will there be any good music?

>>13337 A bunch. Go on IRC and you will find compatriots.

>>13094 gib monies to incriease mongol heritage of group.

Norwegian reporting in, will be there with my brother. Unless I get fuarrrked over by the ticket lottery. But then again I will just register every person in my family.

Other Finn here. It's probably too late for me to get tickets, so I'm out. Is this going to be a regular annual thing?

>>15591 Tickets aren't even out. The ticket lottery starts in December, then you'll get a random place in the queue and have to pay either early on or after several months. The event isn't before 1st of April 2016, so you got lots of time. We could make it annual

it looks like there's rotten food everywhere

>>15667 Surstömming is good

>>16748 I remember when I bought it with my brothers. One puked, other one ran the fuarrrk away from that rusty can and I was just happily munching it away. I would say it was 4/5 bit too salty.

>>12632 UPDATE!! They have released their website for next year, and more information will be available, so stay updated here : http://www.gathering.org/tg16/page/english/
