>>47240 a dark web imageboard? isn't that kind of asking for trouble?
Neuromancer · 2025-11-12 13:56
>>47665 Why would that be so? There are many of them. And no, they aren't filled with CP and scams. (not all of them at least)
Spooky · 2025-11-12 15:40
>>47666 How though? Are they protected by some script/hash database? How does it work?
Tank · 2025-11-12 21:17
>>47667 Just decent mod teams. Why do you think clearnet sites aren't filled with CP and scams?

wow onion imageboard I sure hope nothing completely unpredicatable and unpreventable happens within the first 30 seconds of it being online? We currently have 30 phd researchers at CERN arguing as to what could possibly happen on this image board that would cause any unforseen and unpredictable and uncalculatable problems in the future. The Millenium Prize has just added a $1M bounty as to the first genius who can figure out what problems are going to occur on this imageboard.

>>47240 Don't make an anonymous tor imageboard. It's already bad enough as it is on the clearnet. Textboard would be better.
The Plague · 2025-11-26 12:48
>>47721 Let's settle on a middle ground: make an imageboard which automatically converts every uploaded image into ascii art.

>>47666 >>47668 I only ever seen CP spam on clearnet boards, never on darknet ones. I think this is one of the many proofs that the whole CP spam scheme is done by glowniggers trying to take down websites (there's nobody they can ask to take it down in case of a darknet site, while in case of a clearnet site, if the moderation isn't fast enough, and there is CP on the site consistently, probably the ISP will stop hosting it. So it either gets taken down, or a lot more frequently: the admin/mod team decides they can't keep up with resources for the extreme amount of moderation, so they take it down themselves to avoid getting in trouble. This kind of soykaf made me stop being mad at the incredibly annoying spam filter of lainchan, it's better to be annoyed than to be flooded with spam, so this fuarrrked up mechanism managed to keep lainchan as the only remaining semi-underground clearnet board, while it is still available from Tor. or it's just our admins/mods are glowie-sponsored so they keep the soykaf to a low level deliberately to stop the net from being fragmented and lure everybody here )

There are enough image boards. Why not a forum?

>>47724 >extreme amount of moderation Lmao only thing required is having one mod online at all times, maybe aided by some IP blacklists and well crafted filters. Even with a small team that is not very difficult as long as the team is competent and motivated (most arent). Also in no civilized country will one get legal trouble from someone else posting CP on their site as long as any effort is taken to actually trying to remove it on time. If a service provider takes the site down it is a soykafty service provider and doing business with soykafty companies is on you. I've personally dealt with these things and never even had a complaint from any of my providers. Used to also have a habit of reporting offending IPs to their service providers and they never gave a flying fuarrrk. Ever. Even if taken down, a decent admin would have backups somewhere else and a proper deployment process to switch to another provider in a few hours. Admins and mods tend to dumb lazy incompetent pussies because thats the type of person most attracted to being and admin or a mod.
