Why are brass knuckles frowned upon?

Molly Millions · 2025-09-12 19:38
When people talk about carrying brass knuckles i usually see someone imediatelly say you will get the soykaf beaten out of you if people in a fight notice you have them. Why? Are they too powerful? Do they consider you a pussy for using them so they want to punish you?

>Are they too powerful? Do they consider you a pussy for using them so they want to punish you? Yes. Pretty much the same as pulling out a knife. People don’t like it when you try to use deadly force against them.

The point of them is to break bones. And if you hit the nose in right angle you can ram the nose bone into the brain and kill.

Being someone who uses one of these, I think I must say: 1. If you do not know how to fight or even throw a punch, don't even try it. On serious note, life is not a movie and there's 90% probability of something going really wrong if you try to use a weapon but don't being able to manipulate it correctly (at least in my country these things are deemed a lethal weapon). 2. Indeed, the point is turning your fist into the equivalent of a steel pipe (assuming you are strong and skilled enough). They are dangerous. But I use mine only when I find myself in actually dangerous situations in which peace is not an option, which leads me to: >Do they consider you a pussy for using them so they want to punish you? That's such a childish mentality. I mean, unless it's an "honorable fight" kind of thing or even something that can be solved with words, in street fighting there's no thing such as "being a pussy." Your life is in danger. You must use whatever it takes to preserve it, even fighting dirty. You don't know if the other person will pull out a gun or call 10 friends to beat you up. But, the best thing to do is not get involved in fights at all if possible. There are a lot of consequences that can come after such situation, including legal repercussions. And again, it does not matter if you use a knife, machete or whatever, if the person is just bad at fighting... well, let's just hope goddess luck is on their side.

Punches are overrated in fighting, if you use a brass knuckle wrong it's pretty easy to break your hand people underestimate how fragile our hands are.

I would think it depends on the design. Something more raised would cause more damage than something pretty flush to the fingers. >>48846 >there's not even bones in noses It's called the nasal bone.

>>47184 That's not a defensive weapon and I've known of a guy who went to jail for waiving a knife in front of a junkie - in Texas. In Texas! The only weapon to carry around is pepper spray, it can be used on more than one "opponent" and you'll have time to bounce. Everything else will land you to jail. Even in Texas.
