I signed up to an instance called nonfat-soykaf drinker.club (now known as nonfat-soykaf drinker.world) and used it for around 2 years or more
People were generat chill, I was able to casually talk and discuss niches, news and memes with people from other instances, admins of other instances and even lain (crushy blushy fediverse idol), the man that made the entire software for pleroma
I remember back then that my family had an issue with debts related to car purchase, since we were a family of 4 and we only had the job truck which was a 2 door diesel Isuzu, and ofc it was a problem trying to fit in all 4 of us in it
