surfing the web as a noob

Tomohisa "Tom" Kanezaki · 2025-05-20 12:43
hi, i've recently started looking at all these imageboards, been enjoying it all, i have a site on neocities and surf there as often as i can but i feel like im staying super close to the surface, or, to sites/places that can be found using google. what are your tips for finding strange links and sites and information/posts/slightly dangerous soykaf from 20 years ago? How do i dig further. i know it's all just 'explore on your own' but I dont want to keep looping back to the same few places (reddit, 4ch/sharty, old blogspot pages) ... Ugh i just need new stuff to look at

the concepts of deep web and surface web are inherently for noobs imo. but the wiby.me search engine and the https://theoldnet.com/ page renderer might interest you. you can also click around people's web pages on neocities, there's lots to see there.

>>46023 The problem is not you. What you are looking for doesnt exist in the same way it used to. There are very few thriving communties that you will stumble onto. Very few sites that contain a depth of useful knowledge that cant be found anywhere else. All you will find is dead forums, dead schizo blogs and dead irc channels. Private tracker communties and IRC groups are where you will find cool people to talk to. A lot of the stuff is invite only which is like kicking dead whales down the beach but the more time you spend in that world the more you find
