How bad is it and what measures do you take in order to lower the chances of getting robbed or killed? If you've got tips or experiences, feel free to share them as well

>>46021 1. wear a big jacket 2. carry a pocket knife with a big belt clip 3. get bigger 4. dont look nervous 5. look like you're not worth robbing. keep your wallet slim, your clothes cheap, and pockets thin. in short: dont look like someone who can be fuarrrked with easily. dont look like someone worth fuarrrking with at all. in my actual real life experience, most people dont actually want to kill you, they want to scare you or take your soykaf, or maybe you even scared them. the most intense story i have: 4am by the train tracks, this tough looking homeless guy jumped out of the bushes beside me, clearly just down on his luck, im assuming no drugs based on his build and his complexion, granted all i had for light was a buzzing street lamp. he scared the soykaf out of me anyways and my fight instinct won that time so without even thinking i grabbed my knife, and he very quickly got his. no words were spoken, we stared down for about 10 seconds clearly not wanting to stab eachother so i just put mine away, he nodded, put his away and we split. it could have been a lot worse.

>>46022 I always try to get lifts from friends to go from place to place after 7 pm and whenever possible, i only carry my phone with me, which i don't mind losing Most robbers are in the business due to addiction; police is mostly useless, and gun laws are restrictive, which ends making the civilians even more vunerable
