> have a cute girlfriend
> she loves me
> still very social with others
> get attention from other girls
> another girl hits on me
> we make out
> feel liked by people
> feel 0 guilt
> feel amazing
Why should I care about doing the right thing? Why should I care about being a good person. I say what people like, they like me as a result, why should I not enjoy their attention? I don't love my gf, she is amazing, smart and pretty, I enjoy spending my time with her, I enjoy spending my time with various people. But I do not like a single one of them. I just enjoy the socializing and/or doing some hobby soykaf together, doesn't matter who its with as long as they are interesting.
What kind of fuarrrked up thing is my brain doing for me to be like this? I dont dislike it but I dont think this is normal.
Motoko Kusanagi · 2025-03-31 17:16
Why have a girlfriend then? You should feel bad about wasting someone's time. Be up front and honest about your intentions...that's what any man should do.
I'm single and have had multiple girls on my roster at different times. They knew I was unwilling to be tied down but they enjoyed hanging with me and I reciprocated in kind. If they had other obligations or met someone I let them go; no hard feelings.

She wouldn't like me being with other people if she knew.

I just don't, I understand what I am doing is bad, but I kinda don't care.

nothing, you are just finding out that relations in real life are not like the relations in media. on the other hand, the fact that you are asking means that you are feeling guilty, so my advice is that you should ignore the guilt. or maybe you are hanging out with boring people and that's why it is so hard for you to take a real interest in them. does it feel unproductive? even if you have fun, does it feel like you have wasted your time once it is over (like videogames, for example)? maybe that's where the guilt comes from
John Doe · 2025-03-31 17:39

I don't think it's guilt, I am just wondering what could be wrong with me out of cursiousity. I don't really feel bad for doing something behind someone's back or beieg dishonest as long as it benefits me.
>doest it feel like you wasted your time
No, actually not and I don't think the people I talk to are uninteresting, I enjoy talking with people in general.
Guthrie · 2025-03-31 18:31
It's just simple lack of empathy for others, i.e. psychopathy. What you should understand however OP is that most of the time doing "what is right" and behaving ethically, even if it might seem pointless to you, is actually advantageous to you. If your girl finds out you cheated, she might leave you, and then you wouldn't get to enjoy her company. She will also tell other people you cheated, and other women will have a lower opinion of you, and avoid you as a friend and partner. Whether a kiss is worth that risk is your decision, but generally life is easier if you avoid lying, cheating and otherwise harming other people. See it as a business transaction: you don't screw other people over, and they will maintain good will towards you, and not screw you over (hopefully). You can't really predict whose help you'd benefit from and when, so keeping good karma in general is just a good idea

>generally life is easier if you avoid lying
This is what liars tell gullible people to keep them down, lies are a resource and can get you very far in life. You can just do things and you can just lie and even if you get caught the consequences are out-weighted by the benefits. Like with most anti-social behavior, it would be a problem if everyone did it, but society has trained most people to be afraid of lying so you don't have to worry about that.
Hououin Kyouma · 2025-04-01 05:30
Fakes get everything catch up to theme eventually and you would be a worthless human being when no one even likes you for who you really are but just your thin exterior so all you can do is try to be liked for you really are while not being so different you lose all individual identity.
Six · 2025-04-01 05:39

Nothing. Being a young human (specially a male one) means our sexual attraction will not be bound to a singe person. Still, you should be clear about what you want to the people who are giving their heart to you: It's perfectly allowed to have more than one thing with people, but if your gf is under the assumption that she is in a exclusive relationship, be fair to her and then continue with your craziness. Don't fly too close to the sun
The Oracle · 2025-04-01 05:45
with men its pretty normal actually
youre just increasing your chances of successful reproduction through polyamorous tactics
pretty much anyone who enjoys some degree of social or economic success goes through this phase of hanging out with cute girls and fuarrrking them, you need to recognize the better ones for when its time to settle down (and dont take too long) though
not because they wont divorce you, but because theyll take care of your kids when they do lol

It would only be fair but I don't think so, I don't think anything will ever catch up to me. I hold similar opinion to the person who talked about lying above in the thread.

I may consider it, because it would simplify things, but I still don't care about the morality of it and don't mind being a liar.

i know enough about human behavior from observing myself and others to know subconscious needs drive most of our actions. what about polyamory isnt a male animal playing into his instincts?

You are saying that behaviour is inherent to most males and that its pretty normal. I don't think it is and at least with people I know its pretty uncommon. And I do not like people like that. I don't want a girl that is with other guys for example. I do it because I am a hypocrite and put myself above others.

Maybe you are just aromantic.
Also I don't really want to touch on the cheating part. like, eh. whatever. just tell ur romantic friend about it if you don't want it to potentially come bite you in the ass later. (assuming she would get pissy about it if she learns it from someone else)
>I dont dislike it but I dont think this is normal.
ditch the idea that there is such a concept as normal. it usually means "socially acceptable". Cheating is not normal, but it is easy to imagine a world where it is. I'm in a polyamorous relationship. it ain't normal. we don't dislike it. in the end, who cares but us.
also, cute pic OP giwtwm

The rechnical name for it is psychopathy. It can be caused by brain structure differences. Note that having psychopathic tendencies doesn't necessarily mean you're evil or dangerous. It just means that you don't care much about other people's feelings or have much empathy. It can lead you to do things that create big problems in your life if you're not careful.

Ender · 2025-04-01 13:25
OP ive been in your shoes before to an extent. i find people interesting and seemingly have low empathy, though i do experience a degree of remorse and regret for mistakes ive made in the past. a lot of this is an assessment of how things could be better for me in the present but sometimes i do think about the suffering others go through and feel bad for them, particularly those who in one way or another earned my trust, and whom i couldn't deny the similarities to myself. have been told im a "high functioning sociopath" and w/e else. i dont feel high functioning at all.
you shouldn't cheat on ur girl because it almost always leads to long-term instability which is something suggested both by your OP and the general tendency of socio/psychopathy you are not good at dealing with. there's also a decent chance you will develop empathy later on in life and come to regret all the ways you've hurt other people, and also regret the problems you've created for yourself. tl;dr you should be more honest because it will make life easier for you in the future.
also, you don't need to have a conventional monogamous relationship anyway, i would look into relationship anarchism as its basically what you want and being up front about it will help you find relationships that you don't need to hide from each other. ive found its much more satisfying to have a relationship with someone thats had the same issues and working them out together, or individually with the understanding of one another.
you can of course continue to cheat with multiple people, nothing is stopping you and you may continue to enjoy it for years like I did. over time the amount of deceit required to maintain each relationship might become overwhelming as there's now a lot more to keep track of, it will make your partners paranoid and toxic towards you and potentially more controlling, or the relationship will end and you will likely miss the comforts you had. this is drawing from personal experience - for a long time i moved through relationships as a matter of convenience and managing the others expectations, the problem was when i met someone whom i actually empathized with in an affair did not give them the impression of seriousness, i didn't know how to hold a healthy relationship and i wound up being the one treated horribly. you might call it karma.
finally, i want to add this sort of thing seems extremely common for lainchan users. every time i talk to a lainchan user about relationships it seems like cheating or general messiness is a common theme in the situation. take that as you will.

>lies are a resource and can get you very far in life
unfortunately lying frequently causes your brain to shift into pathological lying which is a waste of energy and makes you incapable of honesty with yourself or self-assessment. if you can't be honest with yourself then you will have no clear definition of success, it will impact your ability to think long term or hold stable, fulfilling relationships, you can convince yourself that you're actually winning but at a certain point it becomes increasingly pathetic. and we can tell. ive spoken with many pathological liars and these are the trends ive noticed. it can also make you stupid and easier to manipulate in other ways, ive found.

Every single social media generally the same sorts of people. It's simply a spectrum of "extreme" to "safe" that dictates overall behavior and culture, while an individual level basically shares every type of user.

Why the fuarrrk would you date someone whom you don't love and then cheat on them with no remorse? Don't give me some bullshit excuse like "pyschopathy" or "aromanticism" because it's simply just narcissistic scumbag behavior which is easily avoidable.
When you are emotionally healthy and TRULY fall in love with someone, then you will understand monogamy and the benefits of commitment and not being a cheating scumbag. But until then, do yourself and your GF a favor and break up with her and I encourage you to read and meditate so you get your soykaf together.

Boooooooooooo tomato tomato tomato you can still have the same benefits and level of commitment if everyone involved knows eachother and loves eachother and set boundaries.
This is not excusing his cheating thing however. He should figure that soykaf out anyway. Like at least talk about fuarrrking other people to ur GF.

bullshit, time & money are limited. More partners = less time & $ / person
Monogamy is just a contract of mutual resource exchange.

You're not a company hiring fuarrrking salary employees. You're not splitting your time for two persons individually when the two are together at the same place. Hell, if you can't tend to one, the other likely can. It's a team effort.

either you've never dated or you're in an abusive relationship because people normally have certain limits, known as boundaries, in terms of what they'll do for one person even if they're dating, I'd say unless they're married but married couples have boundaries too.
Neo · 2025-04-02 06:47

you are in fact hiring a longterm employee you cant easily fire when you plan to have kids.
monogamy is about marriage+kids not playing games in hs
its about what happens when you knock up a mistress next to your wife and need to fund your mistress baby.
Wanna argue knocking up multiple women has no economic consequences for the women involved?

One must create its own moral values, and also the definition of "good" and "evil".
