Since my childhood and adolescence, I always thought that my mother was the kindest and most lovely person in this world. But all this changed as we moved together to another country. I got much older, and I began to notice that my mum became way worse than she was before. I don't know how to explain this. It's like she began to be more childish, more irresponsible, and maybe more nervous, I'm not sure. And in the last time, she began to be interested on TikTok. And I fuarrrking hate TikTok. It is the most soykafty thing in this world that humanity could even invent, but she likes it. She even began to do live streams! I hate it! I hate it so much that there is even no word yet to describe this new feeling when I see her looking in the phone and watching these bloody shorts. She could do everything in this world: Drawing, sewing, origami, even do a little start-up, but she chose the fuarrrking TikTok. I don't know what I must do now. Shall I speak with her or do something less, or even just let it go? But the way, I'm just curious if y'all had similar problems with your parents as I do, or if I'm just a freak from nowhere who doesn't know what to write on this imageboard. Ex animo, Yan P.S. Sorry for my bad English. I am not a native speaker, but I hope y'all have understood what I used to say.

Just let it go man. I've heard that people regress as they age(become more childish) and as long as she's happy it doesn't really matter if it's tiktok or sewing. My maa keeps watching these dumb youtube shorts all the time but I don't really care. Let them have some fun. It's possible that she may outgrow tiktok, though, so talking and nudging her in "right" direction gently(important!) may not be bad idea either.

Some people who spend a lot of time online are just hiding from anxiety issues. Maybe give your mom some alternatives by inviting her out somewhere away from her computer. If she gets interested in real-world things again, she might cut down on her online security blanket.
