For purely educational, not illegal reasons: What are some good tips/methods to counterfeiting USD? Have you ever done it before?

For purely educational reasons, here is a book called "Federal Prison A Comprehensive Survival Guide"

>>42771 Its not as easy as you think it is, youd need the correct printer that the fed has for dollars, saddam had some of these and probably ink i dunno man. Also newer dollars are harder to make because of some plastic involved plus special inking techniques.

You won't make undistinguishable bills anyway, since they have a serial number. You won't scam banks, but you could probably scam businesses (until they catch you that is). I wonder if coins would be easier to counterfeit. I doubt banks check the chemical composition of all the coins they receive, although they would probably be suspicious of getting a large deposit from somewhere other than a store. At least you could spend them in stores without anyone noticing, probably. That would be less lucrative than bills, but you can make about 1000 dollar coins from $10 worth of copper.

>>42779 I dont think they would notice the serial number, and yeah i definitely wouldn't take that anywhere near a bank in a hypothetical situation

>>42779 >they would probably be suspicious of getting a large deposit from somewhere other than a store Hiring an armored truck to take your money to the bank is expensive. Plenty of small family businesses make their own deposits in person. You basically separate the coins into bags and then put them on a scale, if they weigh within the expected range then the bank/post office will accept the bags. So large coin deposits actually is a normal thing that happens everyday. >That would be less lucrative than bills, but you can make about 1000 dollar coins from $10 worth of copper. You have to be careful, inflation has reached the point where many smaller denomination coins are actually worth less than the metals inside of them now. >>42780 >I dont think they would notice the serial number, They have machines to scan the serial numbers with computer vision. >>42796 It's funny because normalos instinctively understand why letting their next door neighbor Bob print his own money out of thin air would be harmful to society but then suddenly it's ok when governments and banks do it.
Acid Burn · 2024-10-09 13:20
>>42780 The store you give your bills to will eventually get them to a bank, that will refuse them on account of being fake. If you visit them regularly you can be sure they will eventually catch you. >>42821 >Plenty of small family businesses make their own deposits in person. I know that, my point was that they are businesses and the banks know that. >smaller denomination coins are actually worth less than the metals inside of them now. I made a mistake earlier. 1 dollar coin is about 8g of copper at 10$/kg. That's about 8¢ for a dollar coin (not including production costs, which would be quite high if you don't already operate a forge) >suddenly it's ok when governments and banks do it. The rationale is that governments are supposedly sensible and only print money to resupply and counter deflation, and that banks don't exactly print money but "just" lend money they don't have.

>>42775 fpbp Counterfeiting USD will get the secret service on your ass. If you were smart enough to get away with counterfeiting, you'd be smart enough to realize there are much less risky, higher reward ways to make real money.
Mentat · 2024-10-10 05:32
>>42828 It will get the FBI on your ass, not the secret service. The secret service just protects "important" people like the President. But your point stands.
Random · 2024-10-10 08:21
So far I have gotten most of it figured out, now i just need to know how to make color changing paint (copper to green).
Wintermute · 2024-10-10 21:43
>>42838 When you want to correct someone, you better make damn sure you're correct yourself. Combating counterfeiting is literally the reason the Secret Service was created.

>>42771 Unless you went big and print millions the hassle of getting the materials and won't cover. Also cleaning massive amount of cash will draw suspicious on your ass. Go find some crypto scheme, it much easier and safer.

>>42823 >The rationale is that governments are supposedly sensible The dollar have lost 90% of its value since 1971. Does it look like they have been sensible? >banks don't exactly print money but "just" lend money they don't have. That's what the central banks do as well. All new money gets injected into the economy through loans. That's what the national debt is, the government borrowing imaginary money from the central bank and then giving it to israel so they can blow up more brown children in gaza. >only print money to resupply and counter deflation Printing money to counter deflation is like invading oil rich countries to spread democracy. If you can't see through the lies yet there is no hope for you.

Laundering money isn’t too hard as long as your not suspicious.
