As a Brazilian, I noticed something interesting while checking out international imageboards. The difference between Brazilian boards and the ones here is massive. it’s honestly pretty sad What really hit me is how strict the international boards are about writing, thanks to the people who write badly. It’s over for the Brazilian channer(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

Could you expand on the differences? I think most people around here have only experienced one side. If you go around the most popular image boards in English, writing quality is not really that good. I’m interested in this because I’m a Brazilian that learned English earlier than I got exposed to image boards. I have absolutely no experience on Brazilian image boards at all.

I don't see this difference between Brazilain and American/International imageboards. In my opinion BR IBs tend to rigorously enforce a minimum quality of writing as a mean to filter new users. But the bar is actually very low and the mods themselves don't know soykaf about grammar either, so everyone who doesn't make obvious and ridiculous grammar mistakes like the misuse of the comma and doesnt use abbreviations, for example, passes the bar. The writing itself, though, is usually poor. I'm not a master at Portuguese Language but they just sound very poorly written for, idk why.
