Solidarity with the Argentine people
Void · 2024-07-13 00:29
Argentina is going through hard times, with the highest inflation in the world, increases in all kinds of taxes, 45% poverty, and increasing crime. Things are so bad that they recently put a good citizen in prison just for sharing free soccer.
Argentina is suffering, and needs the support of all the anons, so do not hesitate to leave a message of support, and sociality with the Argentine people.(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

How the hell am I supposed to help? My money already went to Ukraine!
Just give people a good reason and ability to invest, save and start businesses in your country.

I would but I'm too busy lending moral support to the poor haitians being deported from the spaniard dominican colonizer state with which they share their border

Argentina is a multicultural country, which welcomes everyone, where it took the whitest part of each Arab, Jewish, and especially European people, and combined it into something unique.
One day the world will be on fire, and all countries will leave you aside, and only Argentina will be able to help you.

Wonder how long it'll be before they invade the Falklands to divert attention away from how soykafty their government is doing.
Acid Burn · 2024-07-19 10:23
This is always the problem with voting for the outside candidate. The the corporations and entrenched bureaucracy will do their best to fuarrrk everything up to bully the people into voting for a safe controllable establishment candidate next time.

This thread is more personal to me.
Argentina is in a sorry and sad state because of stupid ideology wars that allowed the typical lying son-of-a-bitch in a suit, to convince the poor man he's gonna help.
Millei has been an utter disaster, sure things were already a little tits up from the previous government (pseudo-liberal slave owner party) but this guy has done nothing except sweep soykaf under the rug, then claim victory - and his supporters are morons who believe privatizing education and healthcare is good because it "opens more opportunities for jobs." (A mediocre cope that's been drilled into public opinion by corporate rats that benefit from screwing people over and making them more selfish). They completely neglected the policies that assisted Argentina in becoming wealthy were mostly moderate to left leaning. For example; people used to come to Argentina for free education in droves, we had some of the best public funding for universities and trade-schools in Latin America, and the talent liked to stay and make Buenos Aires a better place. It was a fantastic deal! One that is now down the drain because of this new "leader" that only lives and breathes to make investors happy and bark like a dog against an imaginary enemy he calls "the left" or "communist scum".
I myself, was pushed unto a position where I had to make a choice - and it seems it may be better to leave the country with family I have elsewhere while this soykaf settles down.

>has done nothing except sweep soykaf under the rug, then claim victory
My understanding was that Millei made big changes and nobody is claiming victory yet.
>morons who believe privatizing education and healthcare is good because it "opens more opportunities for jobs."
It sounds like you don't even try to understand the arguments. The point of privatization is that you open the industry up to competition and that makes them accountable directly to the people. If they do a bad job they will lose money and eventually be replaced by a company that does a better job. The reason nationalization never works is because you create a monopoly under the state, there is no competition, there is no profit, there is no reward for providing good service and no punishment for providing bad service so all you will ever get is lazy service. If you want to attack the theory you need to understand it first.
>A mediocre cope that's been drilled into public opinion by corporate rats that benefit from screwing people over and making them more selfish
What if I told you the corporate rats feed off the government and that's why the corporate media is so desperate for you to hate Millei and Trump and Musk so much.
>They completely neglected the policies that assisted Argentina in becoming wealthy were mostly moderate to left leaning.
My understanding is that Argentina used to be the richest country in south america before all the socialism fuarrrked it up.
>For example; people used to come to Argentina for free education in droves
The government steals taxes from the working class and uses it to give free education to people who don't even live in your country. Why the fuarrrk do you think this is a good thing? inb4 you are just a young person who wants free university and don't care who gets exploited to pay for it
> this new "leader" that only lives and breathes to make investors happy and bark like a dog against an imaginary enemy he calls "the left" or "communist scum".
You are just repeating propaganda. Nobody cares how often the corporate press calls the president a poopy head. Why can't you give more information about what is actually happening in the real world?

Some things should simply not be privatized if we want humanity to improve and I'll die on that hill. Especially education, as a son of two teachers.
If you're advocating for Millei, Trump, and Musk, (or any suit) on a cyberpunk website then you definitely need to reassess your perspectives.
I won't even debate you too thoroughly because I have a feeling you're arguing in bad faith.
All I'll say is that if the leftist government poured the gasoline, the decision to switch to a hard right populist who only likes to fight an imaginary communist boogeyman and assumes obssesively libertarian policies will fix the current state of Argentina no matter what.
It's not even about political parties to me. It's about assholes always excusing stupid systems while normal good people have less rights and privileges every few years.
It's no secret that social mobility in the higher echleon STAYS in the higher echleon - regardless of the system in place. And most times these croney-capitalost arguments about a faux-free market are embelished; ignoring a simple fact: if you're poor, you're screwed. Just look at the dwindling middle class in America for this.
Anywho, everyone is protesting Millei and with good reason. Instead of tackling economic issues with a firm yet considering hand - he's doing what is essentially Raegan economics with an Argentine twist. And anytime he is brought to answer he'll go on incredibly long rants and tangents about how Argentina is like kicking dead whales down the beach now and it's everyone else's fault.
If you wanna talk results from Millei's time in office: he has made us an international laughing stock. That's it.
Es una desgracia lo que ha pasado en Argentina en los últimos 15 años, y Millei es parte de eso.

>education must be the exclusive purview of the government
>if you're advocating for any suit then you definitely need to reassess your perspectives

degovernmentalization of education is massively anti 'suit' and you know it you're just a dirty communist who wants the different 'suits' to be in full control of child indoctrination. I understand, if I was a communist, I would as well.

Being a suit can also be being a businessman. Businessmen wear suits if you didn't know. You're being dishonest by not stating outright that you want to control the minds of children/youth. You want to educate youth as you feel they should be educated. But how you feel they should be educated may not be what is best for them, and you may not have the capacity to know that. You may not even have the capacity to provide this education on your own. Governments want to educate youth the way they feel they should be educated. This is a battle for people's minds.
With a government you can have uniformity in how people are educated. You can pool together much more resources for learning than you ever could on your own, and dispense them much more effectively throughout the populace. You can have debate on what should and should not be taught so that people are taught whatever is most "true". This is usually what happens. I wonder what part of children's curriculum is it you disagree with?
Basically everything that is privatized is not uniform. You have various providers with varying levels of coverage and quality of service. You as a person may not always be able to switch to a provider you think is superior. Your provider doesn't always have an incentive to provide you high-quality service, as under some market conditions they may have to do "immoral" things (lowering service quality) in order to remain competitive and not go out of business. Are we to assume companies will not behave as they always do if they are to handle education? And if they do decide to behave capitalistically as they always do, how will this improve education? How can we know they are not going to teach people whatever will be most profitable for the companies to teach them? After all, this is essentially a battle for control of people's minds. I don't see how having the government control education is inherently bad. I can see how it can be bad in authoritarian regimes, but this is not usually what is the case. Education is not even something that has a noticeable sense of quality. It is not like internet service, or healthcare, or electricity. It is immaterial and its quality can only be known through debate. Its quality certainly won't be recognized by the people receiving it assuming they have no prior knowledge.
There isn't a scheme that has been devised for how education is supposed to function when privatized. How will it work? Will there be any diplomas that the government/society require for people to work certain jobs? Will there be any guidelines created and enforced by the government to ensure that curriculum is uniform throughout the population? Because if education is not uniform, you'll have tons of people receiving different educations which will likely produce conflict and instability within a nation. Just one reason it is probably better to have the government provide services like education. Will the government step in to make sure companies do not do predatory stuff with their education institutions?

im not advocating zaibatseducation either but if its one or the other they're both 'suits'. If you're anti 'suit' then you should be for localization or domestication or such things.
>with government you can have uniformity
y wud i wunt dis
>what is privatized is disuniform
wot is regulation
all cars have air bags, crumple zones, they're actually really uniform thanks to papa gubbermint, thats one style of 'private industry'. Of course you can also have monopolies. No reason private industry can't be uniform, no reason further that government can't be individualized and hetrogenous. But you seem to operate on the notion that everyone needs same education environment. Absurd! I would want this if I was a communist, ideally obligate attendance boarding schools.
>there isn't a scheme
what is SAT what is AP what are certifying agencies
>youll have tons of people receiving different educations which will produce conflict and instability
IDK what country you're from but I'm from America and the highschool diploma I can tell you with great certainty is basically meaningless; in the same state, in the same city, in the same school even, different students can get wildly different educations, and this isnt even about how smart someone is or how much they remember but they'll just be exposed to different material*. Government system but extremely disuniform. We already have solutions to this problem, standardized tests, placement exams, job tests and interviews. Only had one civil war and counting!
(* obviously plenty of people also get HS diplomata who really shouldn't because they didn't pass their exams in any non twisted sense of the term)
