Lainons, I have a question for you.

How to install and set up I2P on Android? I can't find correct tutorials on YouTube, so I came here.
Unspecified · 2024-05-27 06:41
Run I2P.apk. Jokes aside, is there really any usecase for I2P on android right now? Tor can do most things you'd want to do, and Tor Browser is already available. Setting up all the necessary soykaf seems like it'd be more trouble than it's worth. If I'm missing something please do tell, I'm actually quite curious.

Did you check the official instructions? What's your actual problem? https://geti2p.net/en/download >any usecase for I2P on android torrenting for someone who doesn't have access to a proper computer

>>41041 >torrenting for someone who doesn't have access to a proper computer that's a cute idea actually. get a cheap android phone and go to some random wifi spot u already have access and start torrenting. way more concealable than a whole laptop.

>>41045 I received a "Symmetric NAT" error, what do you advise me to do?
Armitage · 2024-05-27 12:20
>>41050 Are you connected to the network? From what I understand, this error shouldn't prevent you from using i2p, but it will prevent your node from being used by others, and it will be slow. Are you one a private network? If so, it should be possible to configure your router to allow traffic for the port i2p uses. If you are on a mobile network or otherwise cannot change the router's settings, you're out of luck. Using a VPN should sidestep the issue. I don't know if there are other possibilities. Maybe yggdrasil would help, but I have never used it.

>>41051 >Your router (or the HTTP proxy) does not appear to be running. Idk what to do with it, it's shows me when I have "Symmetric NAT" and try to reach any site with a .i2p extension.
