Anti-mockery manifesto
Case · 2024-05-19 05:40
I think that you're all the normal users that you mock. I have you figured out. There are only a few people on earth that create great things. Don't think that you're one of them. You're not. Get out there and do something.
Love, lose, fail, succeed, gain, lose, live, and die.
This doesn't mean to socialize. Socializing is a waste of time. Like an ape grunting at someone else. Go out and create. Leave your mark.
Old users, you've taught me so much and you've seen this site rise and fall. Thank you, you've taught me so much. My parents didn't do much in terms of social development. You became my surrogate. I think you've all slowly come to this similar conclusion - I would hope.
New users, I hope that God blesses you with quick conclusions and a steady mind. There's a lot to be learnt from these people. Try not to stoop down to their level. If you must gain confidence in fighting, do it when someone pushes it onto you. Try not to go onto others.
NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER BACK DOWN. DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF.
To the mockers, God will take care of you :)

You manifesto looks kinda small, op. Is that just a mockup?
Miho Iwakura · 2024-05-19 05:56
Mockers? Do you mean "nay sayers"? If so, I agree. While there's great benefit in proof checking your ideas by trusted acquaintances, it's not the same as people who just want for you to stay where you are. Or worse, pull you down. Due to the nature of how social mechanics work, you will be surrounded by nay sayers when you're at the bottom because people are like crabs in a barrel. And by yes men when you're on top because they want to ride on your success. And true and honest people are rare to find because most are cowards to say what they really think, me included. It might be better to be on your own if you can't find true peers but I'd suggest to keep looking since it's so much more difficult to do everything alone. I agree with you that those who have a spark in them should probably stop lurking on image boards all day and forfeit the instant gratification on online media in order to push and realize their potential.

>I think that you're all the normal users that you mock
haha boi got butthurt after somebody made fun of him!
>I have you figured out
thank's definitely helps my paranoia to get better
>There are only a few people on earth that create great things
wrong take. civilization is an achievement of communion of people, individuals matter but are not determinant by themselves.
>You're not
thanks. a friendly reminder that you're not as well.
> Get out there and do something.
sorry, not happening :(
btw how 'bout you?
>Love, lose, fail, succeed, gain, lose, live, and die.
i think it's by all means more rational to skip to dying, at least within this pov.
>Leave your mark.
i can scratch a stone out there and the mark will be there for quite a while, maybe few centuries does it count?
>you've taught me so much
yet you learned nothing
>I hope that God blesses you with quick conclusions and a steady mind
aww thank you so much!
>Try not to go onto others
sorry can't help myself i am very clumsy and constantly bump into different people often receive blows, but can't help nonetheless
>NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER BACK DOWN. DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF.
thank you lain that's so kind of you except
>NEVER GIVE UP
an attempt to do what?
>NEVER BACK DOWN
from what? anyway being an obstinate ass is really the kind of a good advice you could give :D
>DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF
sorry it's not my fault i have this poor body that can't do magic. but hey thank you! from now on i will not be limiting myself! too bad i have no idea what that means
>To the mockers, God will take care of you :)
thank you! god is nice and takes care of everything always!

No offense OP, but if this is your attempt at doing some inspirational "stand above the crowd, go against the grain, create your own path, now is the time" sort of post, then you basically have done the complete and total opposite to spark any inspiration at all. As you stand on your soap box in an attempt to call out and shun all "mockers", you ironically sound like you're mocking in the same exact tone as the people you're calling out, all while sprinkling some emphasis in there to give off some dramatic flair into your post. How are you going to say soykaf like:
>"I have you figured out. There are only a few people on earth that create great things. Don't think that you're one of them. You're not."
Then all within the same exact line of text, you say:
>"Get out there and do something."
I'm going to go out on a limb, pretend I'm one of the assumed target audience, and as well as assume what you're trying to say is that, instead of dragging people down, I should try to instead find some sort of way to put something out there in the world even if it doesn't end up becoming great, and to not become a mocker or listen to any mockers. It sounds nice and wholesome when I piece things together like that, but unfortunately that's not how you phrased it and this is my assumption of what you are trying to pass off. Instead, you start off by calling out everyone, assume that you know us, try to catch our attention by acting condescending, then lead it into your manifesto.
Why do you have to come off as condescending only to lead into some over dramatic inspirational dribble? How do you have me figured out, when you haven't even figured out what you are trying to say? Who is your target audience for your so called "manifesto"? How come I have to assume what you are trying say just to make any literal sense of it?
Lastly OP, saying soykaf like,
>"Love, lose, fail, succeed, gain, lose, live, and die."
>"This doesn't mean to socialize. Socializing is a waste of time. Like an ape grunting at someone else. Go out and create. Leave your mark."
>"NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER BACK DOWN. DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF."
is just honestly, very cliché for inspirational speeches, basically what >>40910 said. The way you went about it feels like I'm reading a script for a rushed out TED talk.
I don't mean to sound like a "mocker" as you say, and I sure hope I don't come off as one with my post. I just find it appalling why you would try to spark inspiration in the way you chose to do. The tone of your post sounds like you're talking down on us, instead of just talking to us. I got more inspiration from >>40908 (side tangent but I 100% agree with this post), but even this Lainon is assuming what you are trying to say. Anyways OP, I hope you try again but with a more targeted, less condescending approach.

Please don't be raised on post from a forum about obscure 90's anime. I'm glad you enjoy the site and the community; but, it would be healthier to log off.

>This doesn't mean to socialize. Socializing is a waste of time. Like an ape grunting at someone else. Go out and create. Leave your mark.
But what is the point of creation if you are all alone? Even God Himself couldn't bear it, that is why He created us.

You just described the material world. You are a fountain of infinite mirrors. A shattered mirror. A kaleidoscopic labyrinth hall of mirrors.

I guess so. We're our own metaphoric mirrors who can reflect on ourselves if we wish so and pick from all the myriad of options that may or may not become apparent to us in that process. But quickly can be overwhelming and go beyond our abilities and awareness.
This reminds me of what a wise man once said:
>What’s reality? I don’t know. When my bird was looking at my computer monitor I thought, ‘That bird has no idea what he’s looking at.’ And yet what does the bird do? Does he panic? No, he can’t really panic, he just does the best he can. Is he able to live in a world where he’s so ignorant? Well, he doesn’t really have a choice. The bird is okay even though he doesn’t understand the world. You’re that bird looking at the monitor, and you’re thinking to yourself, ‘I can figure this out.’ Maybe you have some bird ideas. Maybe that’s the best you can do.

This resonates with me. I see what the others mean about your post but I think this is just due a failure of communication.
Even if your post was just meant as "don't be lazy dude who thinks he is better than other people but never uses his special knowledge for anything" or "Damn, people who mock me for manic sperging about cool ideas on the internet suck" I still endorse it. But I feel there is a deeper resonance I will try to put to words.
I believe that the nature of conscious sensations (such as but not limited to "qualia") are very very valuable. Imagine if I wrote a novel where all the characters are just simple people with no attached sensations. It would suck. There is meaning_1 in a mathematical description of evolutionary psychology and the neurological details by which a person develops their personality in response to other people. There is only meaning_2 when it is grounded in something with sensation. The vividness of sensation is the most important thing, and all sorts of social games and human psychology exist only to further it. There is indeterminate, vast depth and richness to a color, to the nursing instinct, the preference for realness over le matrix, etc.
I feel like that last part is something I am not communicating very well. I don't mean to claim some sort of causality- though I am open to the possibility. I do not intend to barricade the origins and mathematical structure of beauty with a thought-stopping cliche. I am also a little disappointed that I sound a lot like a effective altruist rationalist utilitarian knockoff but maybe that is the correct categorization of the idea on some level.
You can describe the origins of trust, lust, love, guilt, etc with mathematics. These require meaning to be lent from the fundamental sources. If you read the internet off a grayscale interface, you will find it far more disenchanting. If you killed someone, but in a way so that they stuck around forever as a ghost that could whisper in people's ears but not sense or experience anything but whispers that crime would still be proportionate to murder.
So much of media communication and entertainment isn't direct experience of existence but critiquing something else. It's boring. Trite but true. The reaction youtubers aren't actually that bad because they are at least only one layer away from the value origin layer. Critique is easily played out, as are satire and drama.
I hope this clarifies my position:
