Lets bring back the koan thread from a couple years ago. Does anyone have any of them saved? >what is a koan? A koan is a statement or tale to provoke insight. Koans are a good tool for becoming one with an idea or object. You could describe your lain-issued librebooted thinkpad as "A tricked rock". From there personally I can see pondering that koan leading to less anxiety towards anything someone may have to do with their tricked rock be it college classes, personal work, or utilizing some of its most basic functions like word processing or the clock. It helps add a distinction between everything and start to see the subject itself as its own thing guided with the help of a thinkpad. Say you're a college lainon studying; Now it's easier to register the difference between a thinkpad and the subject you enrolled to strive towards. There's no longer an overall picture (studying x with y thinkpad) it's seeing each individual part as its own whole picture. (studying x, its own world so on and so forth, with y thinkpad, which has its own world of story and detail and so on). From that distinction regarding one object a worldview can spread to everything, helping release barriers between them and any sort of suffering trapped in a false or inadequate worldview. Other literature I consider lain-approved koans would be the Tao and Zen of Programming. https://www.mit.edu/~xela/tao.html So what koans do you enjoy lainon? Which helped foster insight in your own life? What other adjacent practices do you utilize to be one with the wired?

If i think about studying im thinking of the material not what brands my tools are. Imo if you waste any mental capacity on your tools brands you lost to marketing pushing you into brand obsession. Not hating on thinkpads, got one cause i like to disable mouse pad and use red stubble when necessary but im always thinking latop , phone, etc. never brand name.

>>40536 I take it further. If I'm on a laptop I dont even think about the laptop. I am immersed in that endless space that uses no physical space as if I am seeing pure information.
