I wear the same base outfit every day, which consists of black slacks and t-shirt (not precisely the same ones, and yes I shower Present Day, Present Time! AHAHAHAHAHA!) I have a lot of fun winter jackets/tops, which I'm trying to get rid of. GF steals a few, maybe I'll give the rest 2 goodwill. Any recommendations? I'm kind of considering getting a nice bomber jacket, that can optionally take a liner for the "heat of winter". Having just a single jacket which ranges from fall to winter, accounting for rain, would be real nice. Interested in other "anti-fashion" takes (concerning the wearing of a single outfit, etc)

>>38158 Based. I own two pairs of jeans and twenty white T-shirts. That, plus socks and underwear, is the entirety of the clothing that I wear. I'm considering buying a Jester outfit.

>>38086 came here to post this basically. i recently hand stitched a cloak from wool felt and linen, added a hood and a button. i dont normally make my own garments, and this one in particular kind of makes me look like im larping as a billiard table, but it was a fun project and im fond of it. i dont really like those synthetic material puff coats and i have enough leather jackets for whatever outfit im going for. i tend to wear a lot of black and i wanted something more colorful for once. ive gotten a lot of compliments on this from men and women alike, which is somewhat reassuring. the stitching has held up pretty well so far, but ill need to mend it in the future if i wear it often. the hoodie im wearing under it in pic related is a bad pairing, but it was just what i had on when i went to go take a photo for this post. it makes me happy to wear flowing cloth, and to have something handcrafted.

>>38490 Would have been better if you used wool with a high lanolin content. Then it would be more water resistant.
Cypher · 2023-11-02 17:06
>>38497 that's true, and i looked for some at my fabric store but they didn't have it stocked so i settled for what they had

>>38490 That looks cozy. Good job, lain.

I got a brown leather vest last year, have mainly been wearing it with a hoodie and black cargo pants for shoplifting. but it's time I think I put on some patches

Wow people must've moved on completely from Balenciaga's recent scandal if they have their own children wearing the brand. Anyway to keep it simple I often wear a black puffer coat/vest (no hood), with a hoodie, jeans, and new balance shoes like the 550s. I want to buy a puffer vest should be especially good for fall. Pinterest is good for inspiration.

I'm looking for something like an "EDC" bag, but something very minimal, just barely above pockets. I am a hacker-engineer. Sometimes I spend the entire day programming -- sometimes I'm tuning up my bike. Sometimes I'm out in the field dumpster diving for electronics. I'm also a bit "autistic" so I'm looking for a way to make a simple complement of tools (think leatherman+precision set) available for me at all times. Ideally, this includes all the time I'm around the house. It would be mentally liberating to never have to worry about where my tools are, if I have them on me or not. My pockets aren't that big, and putting these things in pockets causes competition with my phone, wallet, keys, which is not ideal. The picrel is probably close to what I want. I think I'm basically forced to use: -- a chest rig -- a crossbody (worn in the front when sitting, in the back when mobile) -- a thigh bag Anyone have any thoughts?

>>39109 I think you can find these kinda things on chinese ecomerce sites temu/alibaba for real cheap aswell
Technician · 2023-12-03 10:18
>>39110 Sure. I'm just curious to see what other people have in mind for this kind of need. Maybe a more fashionable solution exists. If I'm to wear this all the time, I'd like it to look fairly good.
Joey · 2023-12-03 11:25
>>39112 could wear a tool belt, or a belt with sheathes etc for your multi tool etc.
Mentat · 2023-12-03 11:39
>>39113 That's not a /bad/ idea, it's actually what I've been doing. But I've found that it's not very comfortable when sitting, and it has some potential to snag on things.
Erik Johansson · 2023-12-03 11:50
>>39114 there's also the bandolier option
Pris · 2023-12-03 20:14
>>39115 That looks intriguing. What brand?
Morpheus · 2023-12-04 04:13
>>39115 >What if webbing >but more obvious and uncomfortable to wear? >>39109 Just put it on your belt or buy those jeans with a ton of hidden pockets, I think there's a Finnish company that makes ones specifically for this actually
