Spoilers/content warning: false accusations of spam, creepy animals in the 2nd pic
Yesterday I rolled out notices in the comments section of some images on Furbooru.org, about the issues people were currently facing via Tumblr and Twitter. It's because NSFW content was being hit by bans/blocks on social media websites and I wanted people to be aware.
How come Furbooru.org falsely accused me of spam, deleted my comments and derezzed me - when all I was trying to do was spread the word that NSFW images are being affected by content blocks I can't stand?
I slammed my keyboard and unintentionally restarted my computer when screencapping the first image, crying.
Who can you even trust?

I wish you could just be civil and just comfort me here.
To be aware, I cannot take NSFW content blocks or bans anymore on socials after what happened to Tumblr in 2018. Many people were archiving images thanks to an old 4chan thread and I wanted to follow suit.
Take care :'l

I hidden the images here as I addressed a content warning for them.
>"Are they cracking down on NSFW posting?"
Tumblr started that five years ago, Twitter isn't - Twitter mirrors are hit by this: https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/issues/829
That's what I was addressing via Furbooru.org's comments section after setting filters to "view everything" because some image source links were from Tumblr and/or Twitter.

Agreed. Nitter did not have issues with that until as of recent. A few of people contacted zedeus on Github over different instances being affected. Believe me, I want this issue gone for ever.
I was addressing people on the site that blocked me afterwards, saying things like "as you may be aware, NSFW content had been age-locked or derezzed on social media websites - to which I now want reverted so guests can archive it for future generations." I mean many booru-like galleries are archiving those scraped from dead/blocked sources for future generations.
Furbooru.org staff falsely accused me of breaching one of their rules and made me livid to the [point that I want them to suffer the same way I did.
You should protest their false rule breach claims via registering on the forums, I can't.

So at this point I would say, it might be worth taking a step back and thinking about how you can most effectively act on this. You tried raising awareness, and were shut down for it. Now you seem a bit fixated on the people who did that and who is in the right regarding your ban.
I am myself angry about my own bans. It feels very personal, and the unfairness of misapplied rules has a unique sting, as does being cut off from something that was a part of my life. But that anger has a larger context, and allowing it to get tunnel visioned would mean it will be contained and controlled. Make sure you're keeping the real problem in mind, and not letting it get off easy.

It's their fault for falsely blocking me around a 6-day period due to me being accused of breaching Rule 6 when I wanted to inform people that "Tumblr/Twitter images are hit hard by policy changes or interface updates". That was the real problem - yet I know users scraped images to there for anybody archiving those in the foreseeable future.

Here's the old thread that I was telling you about: https://archived.moe/t/thread/859332/
Many affected Tumblr blogs were collected in 2018 by people that work for datasets, this was a VERY HUGE list that began on the thread.

Bumping the thread again.
https://furbooru.org/forums for ban protests
They removed my claims and kicked me to the ground for 29 days and said that I was off-topic again when I wasn't. One of those I even turned into a copypasta of sorts based on a person who said “two days left until Tumblr doesn’t allow NSFW content anymore, follow me on Twitter if you want to see future pics from me…”
I put the blame upon furbooru.org after accusing me for spam before this happened. It’s not off-topic because Tumblr and Twitter needs to revert their NSFW content blocks, thus making it accessible for guests to scrape (like how furbooru.org is open-sourced).
Also I found another github link, this time it's from the snscrape repo: https://github.com/justanotherarchivist/snscrape/issues/419
Whatever Twitter added was spreading like a virus to Nitter and other Twitter mirrors and this was one of the reasons why NSFW content is being blocked on the web - and one of the reasons why I addressed those concerns over scraped images via furbooru.org about a month ago.
What I wish for is social networks to be open-sourced without the need for auth tokens. But the mods at furbooru.org were so mean to me twice now.

This warms my heart but not at this thread's personal level, considering the fact that I'm civil here and references left and right to false claims of spam which led me to counter-attack the evidence.
Somebody would register an account at furbooru.org to protest the bans on my behalf because:
1. I was relaying a notice on a select few images that some social media networks are blocking or banning NSFW content for everyone to be aware of
2. I counter-attacked Furbooru.org over my previous ban on the site, which was cruel and that they would suffer the consequences of my actions - only to find out that I was derezzed again by those mods which I now found out it's completely unforgivable
I'm not registering on the site but YOU should.

Tumblr NSFW blogs were glitchy thanks to another GitHub repo: https://github.com/mikf/gallery-dl/issues/2023

I was making them suffer the pain after a 6-day block was out the window, addressing this imageboard here, typing out comments in all caps about the 6-day block incident that should never had happened.

e621.net also had conflicts with Twitter rolling out NSFW blocks within a year: https://e621.net/forum_topics/32720 (it's tricky to get past a age-gate pop-up if you are using the site for the first time but ESC key works if you press it at the right time)
Since I wasn't able to register on the Furbooru.org forums, I wanted their mods to know I made notices for people to understand that Tumblr and/or Twitter source links for some images were recently affected and couldn't be scraped from the source. This was why I counter-attacked the comments section of some images.
After raiding Furbooru.org's image comments section prior to this ban, moderators falsely accused me of:
- spamming off-topic comments when they were notices for people to be aware of the issues the sites were currently facing (again)
- being antagonistic (I wanted revenge on the mods in regards to the six-day ban they gave me in June 2023, blaming that it was their fault to do so)
- linking to things that "happened years ago" when it recently happened. (Possibly Tumblr's ban on NSFW content in Dec 2018)
- being on the wrong site when I was on Furbooru.org to clearly address the fact that Tumblr and Twitter scraped images may link to dead sources
Hopefully they WILL regret banning me.

I found creepyponies.tumblr.com came under attack by webcrawler flagging and such when I discovered on Google - the artist said that due to a clean-up, she had "elected to flag this blog for mature content and and block webcrawlers in order to keep children away from it" - and what started the Tumblr issues IMO.
I was blocked on Uboachan for five days because I counter-acted on people mentioning that I was using McAfee, posting a gore image of a hand - unmarked.

incredible thread op. why not just make a new account? not sure what you're expecting indifferent users on an unrelated website to do any more effective.

In what respect, being that this thread seems to be down or funny or that it isn't interesting at all? I mean to say, do you remember making my complaints funny over bans like the one I had nine years ago? I had
- over a few years - evolved into somebody civil since we last met.
>"Not sure what you're expecting indifferent users on an unrelated website to do any more effective."
You're no indifferent but I think you may be interested in signing up to Furbooru forums and stand up against those mods because "we've given you a ban for spam/unrelated websites/bad comments, etc." is wrong.
Also turns out this thread be like
>"Hi there, would you like to sign my petition?"
>"Would you please sign my petition?"
>"Look, just sign the stupid petition. I got stuff to do."
>"Are you gonna sign this or will I have to ban your fluffball mods?"
LMAO

... only to find out some people haven't responded since it's an uninteresting thread haha XD
Bumping this thread again - if anybody is still active on Lainchan, can you help make a false claims ban thread on Furbooru forums? It's to do with how the mods there had falsely accused me of breaching one of their rules when I was addressing the fact that NSFW content is being blocked fast and I had now had a 29-day ban and I will not trust gallery mods like them if they are cruel to people like me

BUMPS THREAD AGAIN
PLEASE REPORT THIS MESS TO MANGEBOORU
John Titor · 2023-08-12 15:49
Sage, is it just me or NSFW content became accessible on a Nitter backup instance without the need for auth tokens to view them? Because I didn't know they started appearing again when Zedeus said "not really" here: https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/issues/959
I found this; you might wanna check this out: https://github.com/PrivacyDevel/nitter/issues/26
This checks for NSFW content before using an authenticated request - fetches without authentication first, and only retry with authentication if there was NSFW content in the first response. The idea is that since unauthenticated requests are essentially free, the rate limit will be used up less quickly and instances will hopefully become more usable.
I want this to happen for people scraping some stuff, in short:
>be it NSFW content
>"unauthenticated requests" (that means no DoB auth)
>"instances are usable" (so people are able to archive; make Nitter open-source)
Remember if anyone is still active on this imageboard you should help on this thread regarding my bans on Furbooru for false claims of spam/mods I don't even trust.
Nobody important · 2023-08-12 16:41
i think twitter/nitter should just ban porn
Cereal Killer · 2023-08-12 19:50
Just nuke this thread already. Your ban was justified and if I were a mod, I'd ban you just for being a clueless tween whinging about a forum to yiff on.
Yuki Nagato · 2023-08-13 02:57
>>37294
Twitter isn't going to ban it unfortunately, just protect kids from seeing it until they add a DoB to their Twitter profile.
This is affecting most Nitter instances:
https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/issues/829
I'm glad some Nitter instances are becoming open-source, though.
>>37296
> "Just nuke this thread already."
This is a support/act against false claim bans thread, not something to delete.
>"Your ban was justified and if I were a mod, I'd ban you just for being a tween discussing about a forum to not be trusted on."
Fixed that for you, but...
>"I were a mod, I'd ban you just for being a tween discussing about a forum..."

Yes, but to some degree some instances are affected by either an unannounced change to Twitter's interface or something that had come to light - Twitter just suddenly limiting NSFW content to auth tokens/accounts with a DoB. However, as I found out, these NSFW auth flags aren't accurate though, which is weird.
I was trying to spread the word that NSFW images are being hit on Twitter via Furbooru.org because if you click on some Twitter image source URLs that the site scraped, you would see this message: https://imgur.com/a/PmE6RLr
It doesn't say who made the tweet (which would be a link to the user's page), or the time the tweet was made (which would be a link to the tweet itself). However, I read that this flag does not affect image URLs.
Twitter rolled out these NSFW blocks within a year or so, and I was doing the right thing, Furbooru mods did not in terms of deleting my comments/given me two bans/etc.
Full thread here: https://e621.net/forum_topics/32720 (age-gate pop-up is fiddly if you are using the site for the first time but ESC key works if you press it at the right time)
Yesterday, I found out that NSFW content became accessible on the Nitter O2 instance: https://github.com/PrivacyDevel/nitter/issues/26
This checks for NSFW content before using an authenticated request before instances will hopefully become more usable in the foreseeable future. I was browsing that instance and I thought "oh my God, are they bringing such images back to Nitter without the need for auth stuff?!"
Image unrelated.

Why are you attacking a furry site for what Twitter is doing?
John Doe · 2023-08-13 17:17
>>37302
Thanks for asking - I was doing the right thing in rolling out notice after notice on Furbooru.org, but I wasn't attacking the site in any way (until a month later). Their mods given me two bans due to misapplied rules, and I would like people like you to fight back on their forums. (Though I heard you may not need an account for it)

Let's just get to the point.

Sage, my bans were falsely placed by site mods and never justified. You should protest their false rule breach claims via the forums if I were you.

I overall like OP even if they are too young and/or autistic to realize how absurd it is to think anyone else could be outraged about this particular personal grievance and act on their behalf.
Most people would think, well I feel this way very strongly, but I can't express that as-is because it's mega cringe and it is guaranteed that everyone will laugh at me and no one will empathize. They would be right, but at the expense of authenticity. Not OP though, OP is somehow devoid of such reservations, which is admirable.

You could help because the mods at that site were 100% wrong to ban me because of all the false accusations when, you know, I was making people aware that "NSFW content is dying because of all these content blocks that are preventing people from seeing such content".
https://furbooru.org/forums (for counter-attacking two counts of blocking me; one is false claims of spam and the other being that I took revenge on the mods. Don't forget some of my spoilered images)

That was an unexpected crash that shut my computer down BEFORE I made this whole thread, actually. This was when I snipped one of the original post images that I was attempting to save on there. Certainly brings a chuckle.
This is one of the images that I want added to a thread on Furbooru.org forums about mods blocking me due to false claims of spam when there's a serious issue on social media sites blocking NSFW content.
Second one is in post >>37172 because I wanted revenge on Furbooru.org mods via the comments section in images that I had commented on before - but moderators falsely accused me of "spam", "being antagonistic", "linking to things that "happened years ago"" when it recently happened and telling me that "I was on the wrong site" when I damn know well Tumblr and Twitter scraped images may link to dead sources, and this was the right site for addressing the matter.

I don't care how the site runs on Cloudflare/booru-on-rails project-like engines. And my answer is a flat no for the reason being that the mods that blocked me twice are not something you should trust IMO. Neither do I.
Ein · 2023-08-17 09:31
Has anyone here protested my false claim bans against the Furbooru.org mods and confirmed even the basic essentials of my story? If you haven't, it should be the perfect time to make a thread on Furbooru.org's forums all about it.

>"...they were probably right to ban."
What the mods had done was 100% wrong because I was addressing the facts that social media networks are blocking or banning NSFW content for everyone to be aware of. These were false accusations of spam that caused me to have a ban for almost a whole week in the last two months.
>"Demanding lainchan help?"
Yes because I cannot due to a recent 29-day block by the same mods.

This is somewhat the same with Twitter's API changes since 2022, however I found out that Nitter.net is now fully up and running for NSFW content scrapers.
I know, some Nitter instances made the NSFW flag go belly up, as seen in >>37293

The more easy way is protest on https://furbooru.org/forums or we could at least continue here until the ban is gone on my end.

What Furbooru.org mods did to me in regards to my 2 bans was wrong and the recent one is ebbing away while Nitter gets fixed (WOW!), so I think we could have some coffee or something that cheers us up.
