How did you stay sane in the wage cage? I just want to go into work, do a job, go home, budget, invest and pray I'll have enough to one day jump the wall and run free. I just started a new job and they've got me doing some soul crushing Maoist tier 'diversity and inclusion' video course. There's literally one point thats like 'Don't trust your thoughts and feelings, because they could be wrong'. The fuarrrk is this for? I'm thinking of starting to look exclusively for jobs where I can work at home at least. I can't be a NEET but I've got so little invested in this system I sort of get it.

>>32375 >How did you stay sane in the wage cage? Beer and escapism. >they've got me doing some soul crushing Maoist tier 'diversity and inclusion' video course That's anywhere man. It's just a liability thing so that if you sperg out the company can say they told you not to. "We do not foster a culture of sperg and do not condone this behavior." It's also job security for people who got soykaf-tier liberal arts degrees. Same thing with safety/productivity courses in most hands-on jobs except instead of liberals you have to deal with six-sigma morons. >I'm thinking of starting to look exclusively for jobs where I can work at home at least It's worse from home to be honest. I hardly see anyone and can afford to be drunk most of the time. That sounds nice. That's why I put myself in this cage; but it's a different kind of hell. Isolation is nice when it's still optional. Not sure if you have anyone in your home life but I live completely alone. I'm honestly about to go get a part time job just so I have something to look forward to in the week. If that's what you choose however most call centers no longer require you to come into the office.

>Maoist tier 'diversity and inclusion' Oh grow up. And that soykaf is neoliberalism, not "maoism." Sorry to say but we live under capitalism; if you're not part of the 0.01% then you have to deal with it and wageslave. Seriously put in your 40 hours a week, do good work, live frugally, and find stuff in your freetime that gives you fulfillment. Also take up meditating; it really helps. That's the best one can do, really. If there was some easy to escape wageslavery, everybody would do it.
Agent Richard Gill · 2022-09-26 02:11
>>32399 Yeah I don't know where people get these ideas. Anyone who thinks Mao would have been concerned with this stuff hasn't read a history book. He solved his own "culture wars" by mobilizing an army of school children to lynch their own teachers. >If there was some easy to escape There are plenty of ways to escape to varying degrees but no, none of them are "easy". Some of them require a good deal more work, the appeal being that it's your own work and by your own choices, but that's for another thread.

Special Agent Bob · 2022-09-26 14:51
>>32399 >Sorry to say but we live under capitalism Not really, ops issue stems from a few printing money wildly to finance forcefeeding their stupid ideas to everyone by paying corps to follow them. Corps naturally do it because following orders to get paid is guaranteed money unlike trying to win customers. Meanwhile the people in control of this are completely separated from capitalism since they can print whatever amount they want which means they cant lose or fail. The only fail condition for them would be if they take the entire system with them into collapse which also would kill their efforts or they get replaced forcefully beforehand which neither is likely to occur.

A lot of people's kneejerk thoughts and feelings to stuff are inappropriate for the workplace and not addressing it can lead to legal soykafstorms for the company. That soykaf is in there because every HR department ever has had to argue with multiple dipshits who said, "I thought what I did was okay" after doing some dumb soykaf like telling a coworker she has good dick sucking lips or saying "my nigga" to a black dude. >misuses Maoist >wants to quit their job over standard video training >doesn't understand that "thoughts and feelings" are not automatically valid It sounds like you're another person with internet brainrot that got triggered by a video telling you to not talk about cocks, pussy, religion or race at work. >>32432 >I _agree_ with at least 50% of the diversity and inclusion stuff It's not supposed to be agreeable it's supposed to be irrational and contradictory. By completing the training you are forced to suppress your critical thinking to prove your loyalty to the establishment. This is basic 1984 authoritarianism 101 soykaf.
Eldon Tyrell · 2022-10-02 19:24
>>32433 There's nothing irrational or contradictory about a business telling you to be respectful of your coworkers.
Yu-ichi · 2022-10-02 21:33
>>32433 Almost all of it is like "don't treat your coworkers like racial/sexual stereotypes" In a job like construction or warehouse work the fact that your black coworkers will beat the soykaf out of you if you call them a nigger is a form of self-regulating basic respect, but officer workers are supposed to be meek and mild-mannered so the corporation has to formally reprimand you for it. The fact that this is the case is way more Orwellian than the diversity training itself, which is no stupider than anything else about worthless office jobs.
Judge Fang · 2022-10-02 21:59

"These people, who are fully capable themselves, need to be helped out in the positions due to our differences, despite the fact that we are actually all the same." -- Of course, I think people take a lot of liberties and should be able to criticise something without referencing fiction (Speculative fiction, but fiction nonetheless.)
Gyula Kovacs · 2022-10-03 00:50

John Rain · 2022-10-03 14:19
It happens cause the people doing the seminars and regulations get paid doing it. Anything else is fake rationalization to make it sound good. Look these useless people need a job so they start doing busywork to continue getting paid. Any job with oversight slips into doing nonsense regulations just to show they did some work and thus deserve getting paid. These people longterm kill the company by reducing productivity but thats not their problem. Its an old idea that bureaucrats grow like cancer until the tumor is too big to carry and the corporation dies. Same for larger organizations like nations. Same people swarm the next organizations and the cycle restarts.
Hououin Kyouma · 2022-10-05 15:01
>>32476 its adopted because its chinas social credit for corps - if you associate with a low ESG corp your own ESG goes down. This leads to ESG victims infecting other corps who wish to do business with them as they have to now also play ball to do business with the ESG infected corp. And as banks also had to follow suddenly loans require it too. So now tons of corps need to comply to live. A simple example of what happens if you ignore it was a bigger ukraine corp that got its credit rating lowered due esg and immediately went down cause it couldn't pay as their loans went up in cost suddenly. This is the scary nightmare that keeps corpos alive who live on loans and makes them comply out of fear.

>>32479 Sauce on what? The validity of their pr regarding their goals is completely irrelevant to my previous description on how it spreads. And to be honest the stated goals dont work either because lip service gives you better scores than doing honest good work. All you need to do is check rankings. Fortune 500 corps score higher than real environmental preservation corps. Reason is they max out points in virtue signaling that overshadow by far bad scores like pollution that would cost money to fix. Corps follow the money so they obviously followed the cheapest method to max out their scores.

I feel U bro. I'm not at same position as you are, I have small debets, after my teeth broke. I can't even save from month to month, because I'm always at ~40-60% of salary under 0 at the end of month. I had listened to 200h of audiobooks and podcasts about bisnes and self development at my current job, but ~$670 per months isn't much even in Poland. I'm not thinking about making business out of working hours now. I think that I should first get a job where I can save some money, but I feel a bit depressed and scared while I'm thinking about it. I don't know why. After own "looking inside" and LSD and mental hospital phrase I myself said that a fear and excitement have common part that is called trill. But somehow it doesn't make me feel better about all that and I still feel PTSD after last times I got bankrupt (while being wage slave, not doing business) and came back to parents for almost 2 years. Is it normal that life is that hard? Or are we doing something way too wrong? Would I ever go to the way where life isn't that hard?
