What is up with the overwhelming amount of bitterness in society. I swear I haven't met a single person who isn't bitter about something. Our attempts at categorizing human life and expression within the confines of faulty logic and "science" hurts our ability to live. You just need to stop thinking about what you are and be what you are if that makes sense. Same thing goes for interacting with others. You want to judge as little as necessary for your own sanity.

The west is going through one of the most miserable times right now. I think all the emptiness that gen-zers (like myself) feel can be attributed to the decline in religious belief. I'm not religious myself, but sometimes I wish I was. Whether you believe in it or not, you can't deny religion does make people happier. It gives their lives meaning, it ties them to their cultural roots, it gives them an identity, and it often gives them something to look forward to after death. That is why it makes total sense to me that in this more secular age, we seem to just be trying to replace religion with something else. Rich kids with a boring sheltered life have replaced spirituality with soulless corporate materialism, and the rest of us have replaced religion with science and/or politics, treating scientific discoveries and/or ideologies as gospel, and anyone who questions them as heretics. I guess what I'm trying to say is, maybe we shouldn't have tried to abandon religion.

I don't really know why people seem to live without religion is just to consoom. It really is only that way because we made it so.

The recent crypto crash has personally plunged me into a angst ridden place and this affected millions. There is economic stress and a sense of hopelessness for the future. Do you think everyone is coping to a certain degree? I don't think there is anyone in the world that has absolutely zero problems and isn't dealing with some form of mental struggle. People will chalk this up to life but I think a lot of the time its unnecessary societal reasons more than anything else. A good example of this is the pervasive problem of useless products people only buy because they were convinced they're useful. Most "health" products fall into this category. People have so many necessary expenses that eat away at their livelihoods for no reason. None of it should be acceptable.
