Was his passing ultimately for the best, with all the world has become since?
SHODAN · 2022-01-11 13:53
madlad was smart af. I think he could have done more for the internet if he wasn't faced with such harsh sentences. I think it's for the best, given the context for his death. Either way he wouldn't be able to touch a computer for a long time and would miss out on alot.

What exactly did he do and why did he suicide? DPR did not, Assange did not. Are even documents he stole published or what?
Unidentified · 2022-01-11 18:26
>>29492 Nothing he downloaded was uploaded to the Internet, think it was all destroyed after his death or during pre-trial meetings idk. It was all soykaffuck
Dox · 2022-01-11 18:29
>>29492 Suicided bc his entire chance at getting deeper into US politics beyond his "hacking politics" thing from the grassroots purgatory was basically gone due to his going to have a felony let alone being barred from using an electronic device with an internet and maybe even phone connection for maybe ever
Rick Deckard · 2022-01-11 18:36
>>29492 DPR pretty much went straight to jail and didn't really have a chance to commit suicide. And according to his own writing, he didn't want to risk being trapped in a suicide ward for the rest of his life or hurting his family more (a reason I do not buy myself, and suspect he mostly said this just to avoid suicide watch). Swartz had the opportunity to kill himself with a high likelihood of success. Assange has had multiple countries grant him asylum over the years, and even now is only facing extradition on the grounds that his prison stay not be in a horrible US prison. The three situations aren't exactly comparable.

So, he didn't even publish a bittorrent on piratebay and 4chan to let the crowd spread the message? What a lame. Damn, imagine being remembered for creation of r*ddit and cringe suicide.

>>29489 Go to hell. Maybe if her were alive you could ask him.
藤原純一 · 2022-01-12 17:02
>>29501 That'd defeat the point of asking the question.
Joe Bloggs · 2022-01-14 08:38
>>29489 He founded Reddit. That puts him on my craplist. I hope that Jüdenstein receives final death in the afterlife so that he is not reborn through his relatives' descendants.
Guthrie · 2022-02-15 18:30
>>29497 I choose to remember him for the creation of 4chan after all i think most things in life come in pairs of opposites and i think its fitting that the guy who helped create reddit is also the guy who helped create 4chan.
Fred Nurk · 2022-02-15 18:34
>>29529 He also founded 4chan so i feel like it evens out a bit, also reddit was good when he made it, people can turn anything to soykaf so its not fair to blame him for what people did with his baby after his death. I mean just look at google that search engine used to be insanely good and now its so loaded with bullshit i cant use it if i actually want to find what im looking for and thats only partially googles fault anything can be gamed and people will find a way to game it if they want to from reddit front page to google search manipulation everything is an arms race.
Judge Fang · 2022-02-15 18:40
>>29949 >He also founded 4chan No he didn't.
Neo · 2022-02-15 18:58
as far as I can tell he's mostly just a meme. He did something illegal and he got caught and he offed himself. OK like cool lots of people die and frankly a (([guy)]) from Illinois and MIT hanging himself isnt really that bad. What he did probably shouldn't be illegal. Lots of corruption in science publication that needs to be fixed. Making the papers free might fix some of it. I like that. But this guy ? I really don't give a sh*t. Evidently he thought it was worth it right? >p.s. he didn't even found reddit he joined after they started and got retconned in.
Six · 2022-04-11 17:17
>>29950 He was a major developer of 4chan if not the main one.
Random · 2022-04-11 17:58
>>30688 No he had nothing to do with 4chan. Confused as to why you think he does.
