How do you come up with good names for your online persona? I have always struggled with this, I want to separate most of my stuff so every time I signed up on any forum or whatever, I struggled with finding a good name. Every time I connect to irc, heck, even if I need a good variable name I have problems doing so. I'm currently experiencing the climax of this lack of creativity problem as I want to start a blog, have even written two articles already, but can't find a name so it's all staying on my PC. How do you deal with this lainon? I have always been really bad at this and how people can come up with good ideas for stuff like this is honestly beyond me. For less important stuff I just pick random words or names from whatever the book that is currently lying on my desk is, but for this blog I want something that I actually like.

personally i got some of my usernames for online personas by either looking up name gens or just smashing two common names together if im going for a real life name type of thing, like john smith or alex robinson. kind also depends on what type of person ur going for too

Open two books, look at two different random words and mash them together.

1. Conceptualize the content you will want to distribute 2. Characterize the type of people you deal with 3. Create a name that links to both The name is part of your marketing if you do it for an audience.

I pick a random word(often the name of an item in my room) and take a substring of it. Random word: 'administration' => inistr, nistra, trat, strat, rati, tion

Sometimes I just type random soykaf like "ghkuiygfiu" for a name. But more often receive names from some Anon or they are changing my names: chan -> chuang, Popkin(dickass) or something. Last choice I use as a loging and first for a temporaly name in web-chats or IRC.

>>30312 Terry said that you need to first ask a question and then use the official TempleOS oracle to get an answer. After getting an answer you may need to interpreter it, however. Sometimes, the Biblical context doesn't make sense for the question.
