I have been studying serious maths since the middle of the year, and my classmates hates or does not care about maths. Today my teacher gave my class a logic challange, (I am 18) the ones like "the one who likes blue is at the left of x; z likes the color blue". (But obviously harder.) I cannot do those challanges in my mind, so I tried to use FOL. After writing some statements, two students managed to finish. I asked my teacher to check if one of my conclusions was right, she asked a student who had the answer handy and told me another conclusion. I tossed the sketch paper.
Should i just accept my stupidy and give up on maths? If no, how to stop being stupid? I mean, everyone but me could do the challange, and again, they hate maths. I give up sometimes, but I always back it again. This was not the only time something like that happens, my grades was always below average. I hate being dumb so much.

Speaking as a below-average math student in high school that now is a computer science major: there's no such thing as "stupidity". Just the fact that you're in Lainchan shows that there's some kind of "intelligence" in you, and all you gotta have to properly learn math is interest (which you have).
The thing is, lainon, that society make us think that we're deterministically born capable of learning some things and not others. To be able to learn math you gotta distance yourself from these soykafty thoughts of disablement (materialized in the form of thinking that you're 'dumb') and start broading the way you view yourself internally. Until you think that you're dumb or that you're hopeless you won't really learn anything. That's the way my teachers and my friends made me feel back then, and when I challenged myself to really try and do some math problems or whatever, I saw I could do it, I could learn anything. If I can, so can you.

Also, to learn math is to fail.. a lot. Over and over again.. you probably seen this somewhere, and it's true.
Some people also say that if you have doubts about some subject, or isn't sure if you're getting it right, it's because you're really learning, and most of the times that's true too. You're probably going to sit through some concept for a couple nights, or you'll have to ask for help to solve some problems, but that's completely normal. Also, it'll be easier to keep learning math if you know that not every subject is for you: in some you'll learn faster and quicker, and others you won't learn at all at that moment. You just gotta be persistent and have a good time.

Hey man. I skipped most of high school, dropped out, then didn't do anything academically for like a decade, and I'm a mathematics major in my third year. You'll be fine, just work at it. Logic isn't too hard, you just have to keep at it. Pick up logic puzzles and figure them out on your own. There are a lot of ways.

You weren't clever in one instance. No big deal.
I'm currently getting an MS in math. Couldn't do arithmetic in elementary school and the teacher made me stay after class.

OH YEAH another thing: I got a C- in my first calculus class.

So a guy solved a problem, who the fuarrrk cares about that guy? You do your thing.
Also you'll feel stupid and fail a lot when you start, then you'll still feel stupid and fail a lot as you go along, and at some point you'll feel stupid and fail a lot but you'll be used to it and know a lot more math than you do now and people will think you're a genius and we'll have someone else whine here on arisuchan because you solved a problem before him.

You got me, now how to stop being stupid?

>So a guy solved a problem, who the fuarrrk cares about that guy?
What bugs me out is that he do not care about maths and could do it.
