What are you going to get your parents or other important people in your life for christmas this year? What would you truly like to receive yourself?

Everyone in my family just tells eachother exactly what they want, there is no surprise whatsoever.
I want tools, because tools are cool and expensive.

personal letters to my mom/dad/gf
will probably buy gf something cute or even her study materials
as for me, I haven't gotten a good gift in years so I'll just take money so I can invest it.

I have no idea, christmas is such a stressful time because I don't want to disappoint my parents but I'm so uncreative.
For myself, I told them I would be happy about some old thinkpad like x200 that I can libreboot. What I would be really happy about but would never ask for is a little vacation trip, not long, just a weekend. Maybe I just ask them if I can get their car for a weekend and do car camping in spring, that would be a lot of fun.

I tried to have my family not exchange gifts with me at all, but they wouldn't have it. I've already told some of them my gift will be reading a short Latin story and translating it to them sentence-by-sentence, which is something they couldn't buy from a store.

Oooh, that sounds nice! You could probably read them a nice Ovid poem.
I still need to send a letter to my sister.

I'm not that good yet. I'll just be reading one or two of the chapters of LINGVA LATINA PER SE ILLVSTRATA, probably the fourth about the escaped servant Medus and the sixteenth, because there's a scene therein in which the lady friend of Medus invokes Christ after he invokes Neptune, and my mother enjoyed hearing Iesus Christus when I'd told her how the Romans pronounced it.
I should probably be able to read some poetry next year, however.

My dads trying to learn English, maybe I will get him some movies he can watch to practice his understanding. Apart from that, I have no idea.

i am boycotting christmas this year because the schools here make half of us wear skirts and christianity is a peod religion as far as im concerned

What does wearing skirts have to do with Christmas? What does Christianity have to do with Christmas? Christmas is a blend of holidays Christians hijacked from pagans to make them more obedient to conversion and modern Christmas is a pretty secular holiday.

Nothing.
I'd like to have me guitar fixed, but unless money fall from the sky right into my pocket it ain't gonna happen.

Mum will be getting a Gremlin figure for her collection, some art supplies, and a new scarf.

>sister - mixtape, stardew valley, nintendo eshop gift card
>mom - amiibo cards
>dad - when i was a kid (maybe 4?) he worked for a health website and told me he "made websites" as a job. i asked him to make me "lovey.com" (named for my favorite stuffed animal) and he made me a soykafty little site on a flashdrive or something, it was super cute. so i'm making "LoveyOS" for him this year, a mock operating system made in Unity that's basically a virtual scrapbook of our family.
i asked for a new guitar, a color printer, and some PC parts.

Originally nothing, but in a true Christmas miracle fashion Paypal gave me a coupon and I bought myself a HDMI cable and a mouse, while also buying my brother a headphone.
