Caveman chat?

Miho Iwakura · 2020-10-29 18:36
The most enjoyment I've had on the internet has been in my time on a chatroom for a streaming site, late at night when the streams are not live. And what made the chat so enjoyable in these times was that the site attracts stoner types and the like which were willing to indulge in nonsensical/abstract/"high"/really base humor/philosophical (but not so concerned with proper reasoning, more just throwing ideas out there and addressing and then throwing out new ideas) topics of conversation. I've over time come to believe that it is basically "caveman" discussion that I enjoy: discussion humans would have had ever since their beginning (meaning, sex, peepeepoopoo jokes, stars, earth, dumb soykaf), which may tackle serious topics but in a lighthearted/casual/joking/"high" way. Of course, the topics of conversation perhaps weren't the main quality, and maybe it was just the participants, whose number was just right, and who all shared a common interest that is hard not to get sucked into and an easy fun culture to share, that made it so great. I don't think such conversation exists to the same extent on that site anymore, but even if it does, I'd like for such a thing to become more common on the internet in general, or otherwise for me to become more aware of its current existence. So I ask whether anyone knows of any places that sound like they match this idea, and secondly, if this sounds like a good idea to center a stream around on a popular platform like twitch. Or alternatively, if anyone has ideas on software/sites/paradigms which are suited to creating such caveman environments. I know IRC exists but haven't tried it out yet and don't know how many places cater to caveman chat.

>and secondly, if this sounds like a good idea to center a stream around on a popular platform like twitch. The Uncle Joe Show was basically what you're looking for in its heyday. Fat men dancing and getting high, talking about random dumb bullshit. Also your pic is amazing, I think I've been there before.

>>20530 If you're looking for stoners, I think you might like the avoidingthepuddle Twitch Channel. Aris hardly even plays Tekken nowadays and hasn't for a while. His days as a professional competitor at this point are definitively behind him. Since the one thing he took seriously is now in his past, you might like his streams or chatting with people in the chat outside of his streams. In fact, he's online right now, as of this post. https://www.twitch.tv/avoidingthepuddle If you missed this post, that's okay. He's online every evening on the weekdays and occasionally on the weekend nights. He starts streaming at either 8 or 9PM GMT+1 and I believe he doesn't stop until 5AM GMT+1 or so (although I recall one occasion where he was playing Diablo 3 and it was 7AM) If you can't catch his streams due to timezone issues, he has a YouTube Channel as well where you can catch highlights of his streams. n0pants, the one Aris assigned to run his YouTube Channel started doing "ATP Quarterlys" so you get a glimpse of his output if you're interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDYuxOWj-KM He's considered quite funny as a story-teller as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ62YbhOYwE

>>20536 what a boring retard. i can't believe you are so attached to such a lame person. OP, chat rooms aren't good anymore. but i like the kind of thing you described and i relate to it. probably the web forum, the shromery, particularly the offtopic forum "the pub". is a place you'll like. stoner dumbies who like deep concepts and poopoo jokes.

>>20539 Already definitely appreciate this recommendation. Surprised there's still forums this active. I think I remember always stumbling on bluelight forums or something when I was looking up drug stuff a while ago. Gonna look at everything else recc'd and report back after taking care of my other soykaf for sure.
