What is your go-to snack for when you're a little hungry ? I personally love chocolate, it's the only thing i refused to cut from my diet when i wanted to lose weight, i always have a dark chocolate bar somewhere in my room or in my office, cuz that soykaf's just too good man. >pic kinda unrelated...?
Crazy Jake · 2020-09-21 09:37
>>19550 >>19550 Water, I've cut snacks out of my diet. I went through years of indiscriminately eating whatever, whenever due to being baked all the time, or the effects of medication. This is one thing I refuse to do anymore. However, my go to used to be corn chips though. I was never fussed about regular potato chips, but corn chips were an incredibly powerful gains goblin to me. Snickers ice creams were pretty unreal too. Never again.

Snacking all day long is a great way to stress your pancreas to failure and wind up with diabetes.
Anamika · 2020-09-21 16:22
>>19550 I usually avoid eating when only peckish, and don't keep snacks around to help in this. I previously fasted more than I do now, it's not good outside of moderation. I've cut soda, sugary sweets, ice cream, and ever more out of my diet. I miss none of them.
The Phantom Phreak · 2020-09-21 16:51
My go-to snack for when I'm a little hungry is an... apple. What's up with you Americans eating packaged industrial waste and imported poison plant extracts?
Unidentified · 2020-09-21 17:22
Coffee or tea. It fills the stomach.

What dark chocolate? Big difference between 70% and 90% chocolate. Personally i've been using 95% for a while. No sugar means no teeth issues and you automatically eat less. It's an acquired taste admittedly but it works well.
Random · 2020-09-23 21:02
I mostly just don't eat. I've found that if I eat a small snack, like toast or something, I'll just get hungry again in like 30 mins, but if I don't eat at all I'll eventually stop feeling hungry and can eat a full meal whenever it's convenient. This isn't a particularly healthy way to live though. It's best to just eat regular meals which are large enough, and nutritious enough, that you don't need to snack in between them. >>19559 Used to do this when I worked long shifts at a gas station. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant. Problem is if you keep it up for too long without eating you'll feel like absolute soykaf, worse then if you just suffered through the initial hunger without caffeine.

Nuts, seeds, dried fruit, coffee, water (yes, just drink water when you feel hungry, trust me), tea, chocolate, etc. Too much to list all of it.
Nameless · 2020-09-24 01:53
Chocolate, nuts, canned fruit, grapes, fine cheese, ice cream, various small candy, when the decadence hits - hot pocket.
Joey · 2020-09-24 03:58
An apple with peanut butter, when apples are in season (I live near an orchard, so I can get really good apples cheaply in the fall. The downside is that grocery store apples taste like soykaf in comparison). Otherwise, I just finish off whatever leftovers I have lying around, or drink a glass of whole milk. Beef jerky also tends to be my go-to when I'm feeling stressed out. Chewing on something tough and salty just calms me down a lot for some reason.

>>19558 It's purposely made addictive and has been forced down the throats of American children through targeted marketing in childrens entertainment so they can grow up thinking it's not as bad as it is.
Yet Another Lainon · 2020-09-25 13:36
>>19558 >neurosuggesting salts and sugars aren't rare in nature so we crave them, so the simple availability of processed soykaf gets us addicted, or that the blue light from computers does not cause hormonal releases that also make you crave soykaf food and salt. I like some celery with peanut butter, I also like ramen and rice dishes, so sometimes for a quick snack I will make ramen and throw some sausage in. Normally I don't have a lot of time to eat, so I snack a lot. A can of beans over some rice and some veggies or meats is a fast way to fill up, but could technically be a snack. For sweets I like vanilla icecream (americans also put this in a glass with coca-cola or root bear and call it a "float" which tastes nice) Trail mix is also another favorite of mine
Hiro Protagonist · 2020-09-25 14:13
when it's summer I eat cherry tomatoes because I grow them in my garden, so they're free, sweet and not unhealthy. When I dont have tomatoes I eat bread Present Day, Present Time! AHAHAHAHAHA!
Project 2501 · 2020-09-28 02:10
>>19558 why do you automatically assume everyone who does something unhealthy is an american?
John Titor · 2020-09-29 15:43
i don't snack, but if i'm unsatisfied with a meal i eat a few lemons. my neighbor has a few lemon trees that i pilfer from. there's no way he could eat them all himself
Project 2501 · 2020-10-01 07:46
>>19661 The coincidental occurrence or forced immigrational frontiership and rear supply position in most worldwide war conflicts for last 200 years have been influential on food production and household cuisine habits in United States. Speaking in layman terms, they have invented most industrial nonperishable food types, and have adapted their inner markets for consumption in time of peace. There is no other country on Earth that exhibits such interest in industrial foods than USA, albeit from anecdotal occurrences of processed meat in former USSR and consequently, the Socialist Bloc which were influenced by United States nonperishable food industry during their early industrialization and WWII periods, perhaps a cross-pollination with Anglosphere has also occurred in past 70 years, and industrial foods are equally popular in United Kingdom and Australia, although not as much as they are in US still.

I drink coffee and smoke a cigarette.
Project 2501 · 2020-10-01 08:42
A bite of rye bread soup with some milk, or just water. For the curious the first link on bing >> http://globaltableadventure.com/recipe/recipe-sweet-rye-bread-soup/
Ivan Horvat · 2020-10-01 12:19
I'll usually drink water or tea or something, or ignore it. Food-wise my go-to is peas or crackers. With you on loving chocolate lol. I try not to buy the stuff because I go through it too quick when I do
Miho Iwakura · 2020-10-01 12:34
>>19786 reminds me of a certain movie i watched a while back >>19573 mostly 70% to be honest, i think it's perfect balance between bitterness and sweetness >>19794 the secret to not eating it too quickly is to realise the difference between snacking for fun and truly craving for it. just ask yourself if you'd eat an apple instead of chocolate, if yes then feel free to eat some
Ishikura "Tatsu" Tatsuhiko · 2020-10-01 15:48
Nice try Mr CIA but you're not getting a list of snacks to track me. Go spray you mind control serum on all these other gullible sheep. I for one am two steps ahead.
