I love this site <3

So quiet... Such a chill environment. The dark theme of it all makes me want to turn off my lights. Overall slowness of the threads pushes me to put a lot more effort and love into my posts. The Cyberia channel of the radio eases me into the future unknown. In here, I can just be myself. The blessed anonymity purges me from the filth of identity. There is no need to talk, there is no need to act, there is no need for useless etiquettes. Just type away whatever you want to say. Whatever you want others to read about you. They will have something interesting to give back. They will not disappoint.
An omnipresent aura of mutual respect exists here. You know you will not write out trash. You know you will not waste your time and the time of your to-be readers by being a glitterboy. Quality begets quality. This is, unmatched. This whole thing is without an equal. I hope this place never gets popular and always stays cool and classy.
Much love.. Many hugs and many kisses...

Why?

Nice, thanks!
That makes me more motivated to post.
Also cute anime girls, appreciated.

this site has its moments but it's better than most imageboard, thanks lainnon

I like it when a guy misses an obvious joke and responds with an uncontrolled passionate throwaway of namecalling through abuse of the slang adopted from the cesspool of low-effort posting where they came from.
I am a big fan of the casual single-line-posting tourist with usual posts such as "cringe kys", and the ramblings on moderation that arise from (and also end up in) highly sensitive subjects discussed, again, through nothing bjt ad-hominems and an immediately evident lack of composture.
Incognito · 2020-08-23 22:24
I love this place too, its not perfect, but about as close as one can have a home on the net.
This is the place one place where i can really fit in most.
Stay classy lainchan.

What's wrong with that? It makes single-newline -delimited paragraphs easier to distinguish. It's not as though I type it out manually.
Have you heard of using text formatting procedures? I'm partial to TeX, but you do you, friend.

Lainchan is not perfect but I do like it very much. It has a lot of thought-provoking users and makes me think about a lot of things I wouldn't otherwise. I wish I could contribute more to the technology threads but I'm a beginner and I feel like I wouldn't add much. I do lurk on them however.
Was this thread necessary though? Is this even allowed?
Case · 2020-08-28 22:30
see, they just deleted my post saying that deleting posts is bad
that's pretty sad, specially because there's no warning, no message and no reason
no wonder so much people are discontent with the site nowadays

Perhaps you should make a complaint on /q/ instead of spilling the soykaf in other threads.
Mitnick · 2020-08-29 01:08

The post matches the thread
A comfy place implies a good relationship between the userbase and the administration
Unidentified · 2020-08-29 02:28
>>19092
Its not true, it can change from times to times. Because if the administrators are to permissive they let bad part of the userbase ruin all the place.
Dr. X · 2020-08-29 12:11
>>19092
There's a thin line between complaining which should be done in >>>/q/ and critiquing.
Tequila · 2020-08-29 15:40
>>19095
Good relationship doesn't mean being permissive, it means maintaining good communication and making the limits very clear. Current moderation deletes posts left and right and gives no clarification as to why, that's just plain censoring.
>>19098
>complaining on /q/
Just so Appledude can appear and say that I violated arbitrary rules X and Y?
Also, OP created the thread to say how comfy he thinks the site is and I am saying that it is not that great and giving examples of why I think that.

Personally, I see
>this site is like kicking dead whales down the beach eww
and
>this site is so comfy! UwU
as two sides of the same coin

It does, "nothing discourages anything"
seeing life as an adventure involves extracting a meaning from it than nihilism disagrees with

what meaning?
Mitnick · 2020-09-09 03:17
>>19332
An adventurous life is a personal desire/goal, not an objective universal meaning of life. It doesn't conflict with nihilism at all. Personally I see nihilism as "life is meaningless and we're all gonna die, so we might as well make the most of our time while we're alive."

I'm not OP, but... Inflow of new users scares me too, and there are reasons: underage new users being off-topic, spamming this site with irrelevant content, and not even having basic knowledge about topics discussed here
TL;DR: New users = cancer, which can kill Lainchan
