I have not had enough time to figure what I'm going to do with 40k that's just the signing bonus not including the pay ill receive for the career track that's an enlisted solider.
Not taking any fancy job steering for a combat role since I could easily find myself saving my brothers countless of times ill lose count 1 year of training and another 5 of service I just want to work on vehicles and stuff on the weekends however ill end with a security clearance ? what should I be thinking about rn?
Mentat · 2019-08-21 19:01
Wait. Wut MOS is dishing out 40k for enlistment? Also don't get too excited about the bonus, takes a while to get it and I've heard horror stories about it getting taken away if you're doing some dumb soykaf.

Don't give me to much credit. Im POG af. But most (#notall) infantry I've talked to are dumb as bricks. Bennings supposed to be the hardest, but the guys I did ait with didnt make it sound so tough. You'll probably be fine. Good on yea for going this time of year. You'll freeze your ass off, but you wont have to deal with idiots fresh out of high school. I'm sure your recruiter told you, but you aren't getting that 40 grand up front. So dont go buying anything stupid straight out of osut.

I honestly told him I didn't really care much about the money and wanted a different combat role ill probably take pathfinder school and maybe the ranger course during my six year enlistment
>I just want to drive tanks
>command one when im good and sharp
Bakaassbitch · 2019-08-21 20:37
I want t o earn the respect even though infantry is a dumb brick thing ill learn what its like for a solider to be without the horse first

Pretty sure you have to already be a ranger for a pathfinder slot. Either way make sure you have airborne in your contract or you'll be waiting a while. Also ranger school is no joke. Worry about just getting in first. Baby steps, my man.

FFR was only really recruiting Americans with previous mil experience, you get french citizenship, but you are also basically advanced infantry for the french military, and people segregate based on their countries of origin/languages outside of training from what I have heard
>>12806
>You are already dead.
...aren't we all lain...
You become a slave to society in a number of ways, the military teaches you practical skills, and allows upward social mobility by providing free housing and education, allowing you to save your money. Patriotism is pretty much gone though, even in the military, because most troops are just a reflection of society and sit on their phones all day and just isolate themselves

There was a point in time where I considered joining the military because I gave up on myself. Military accident would be easier to explain to my family then suicide. But I'm back to isolation, now.

So why not just throw up your hands and submit to the will of vampire pedos in ivory towers because we're all slaves in the end anyway. Idiotic attitude.

i just had a close friend of mine sui recently. he was in the air force fixing electronics on airplanes for 6 years, a few of them in the desert on deployment. he had a normal exit from the military. his life was miserable in the service, he never got to sleep a normal schedule, and almost never slept more than 6 hours due to his work shifts. permanently wrecked his back and knees doing all kinds of hard labor that had nothing to do with his electronics trade like unloading complete truckloads of supplies for over 10 hours sometimes. saw more corruption and wastes of money than anyone could possibly imagine occur right before his eyes. hearing his stories of the senselessness and irrationality of his daily life in the military i could tell it just deteriorated his humanity. i get the impression he was a really caring and good person at some point in his life. if you're a good, rational person who sees what you believed was a sane, rational reality just proven wrong every moment of your life for years your brain can go to strange places as you try to reconcile how truly irrational your world's governing institutions really are. after the military he really struggled hard to find a job with his messed up back and legs. the electronics he worked on dont exist in civilian america. he tried driving trucks and doing other kinds of tough low pay jobs, but his body was too deteriorated to keep any of them up. he told me a lot of the other retired friends he had also got out with broken bodies and bad luck with work too. i thought we were pretty close but he never once said anything to me that made me think he might ever kill himself. i really think his life would have been easier and longer if he hadn't enlisted. hard to say that the military ruined his life. anyway good luck lainon maybe your experience will be different

This is pretty common with jobs that are not normal person tier like cooks or logistics specialists, and people who don't go into jobs like intel or special forces which have high demand in civilian areas. Most technicians are like your post. Especially the intelligent ones, if they stay in long enough they get a pension, but the human cost is terrible.
>i get the impression he was a really caring and good person at some point in his life. if you're a good, rational person who sees what you believed was a sane, rational reality just proven wrong every moment of your life for years your brain can go to strange places as you try to reconcile how truly irrational your world's governing institutions really are
Unfortunately you hit the nail on the head, specially for the ones who join for ideology - to learn a skill or "make a difference", or the ones who were over qualified to begin with and just wanted something not wageslave tier to do.
>i really think his life would have been easier and longer if he hadn't enlisted. hard to say that the military ruined his life
You do get tangible benefits, but most people who have experiences what your friend has can't stand to deal with normal people or their superficial normal person bullshit if they decide to go to school (military gets 4 years free education after 1 or 2 years of service IIRC, works for any school and hundreds of trade school jobs). Depending on their specific experiences with deploying, you end up seeing some really fuarrrked up things, or at least how much of an illusion 99% of the 1st world lives with. The only people who are truly WOKE sometimes are the soldiers who no longer recognize what it was like to live in the clown world matrix. Idk if there is a word to describe the feeling, but there are a few sci-fi books and movies made about that feeling. Being in the military is also hard on relationships, and many will just become sex hungry alcoholics or just go full NEET mode when not at work and after they get out of the military. Also the military is seen as a force of oppression by most left leaning people, and right leaning people just use the military as a pride symbol. The military should not and generally does not take sides in politics. The military has an important role, but it gets misused by politicians. The real victims are the people who joined with the best of intentions and are now caught between service to their countrymen and the unreal misdirection by their leaders.
tl:dr if you let the military use you, it will rob you of your humanity
John Titor · 2020-10-18 01:17
I should have joined the army. I like programming and introspecting, but the corporate life is so much worse.

From what I've gather, it is. You'll have two bank accounts one for fix pay which is 1500 euros (for infantry), airmen for example get a bit more and a second bank account for bonuses which you'll receive when you're on missions (and I've heard that you'll go on the field quite often). You'll also get some card for discounts which you can use for restaurants, hotels, transport and similar. From what I've gathered when you're signing up, you're signing a 5 year contract with the French military as a volunteer (if you survive the bootcamp that is) and that you'll be living in the military base from Monday to Friday until you start moving up the ranks... And I've heard that the bootcamp is literal hell, allegedly even some Navy Seal dudes tried enlisting and they've failed the bootcamp. I'll most likely try to enlist within a 2 year period if there's nothing holding me back from doing so and currently that seems to be the case but I'm afraid that my physique is poor so I'm working on it in the meantime.
sorry for not seeing your question sooner

That is a pretty standard service contract, and the part about it being "hell" is because it is both physical AND mental. You have rigorous workouts paired with full immersion french lessons and you are expected to make scholastic progress along with being able to complete the physical challenges. They aren't superheroes, think of it like joining the Marines for infantry or ARMY RANGER but also having to learn a brand new language while at boot camp. The mon-fri thing is pretty standard in the US military anyway (they don't trust people to not do stupid things so they just keep them on base). Many other countries also have citizenship through service:

lmfao that's the least insidious psyop I've seen for sure. I don't think cute eastern european girls with guns are what's rotting everyone's brains these days. Call's coming from inside the house, who gives a damn about foreign intelligence agencies
Debbie Charteris · 2020-10-18 20:01

The fact that that's your response, shows that the psyop's working. The whole point is to get you to believe that the military is made up of such nice persons. What they don't show you is that a nice person, when they join the military, becomes a terrible person.
Terzibashjian · 2020-10-18 22:04

The whole point is C3DGDQT is a psyop to generate sympathy for one side or another. You see a lot of recruiting ads showing gender or race equality too, but generally minorities do not score well on aptitude tests for the high skill jobs (nor do they want to do them). You still rarely see a black computer technician in the military, but you see plenty of minorities in infantry and the "tough guy" jobs.
As for social media, people say how they feel bad for these brave girls fighting their enemies, but there is generally a lot more to the story, and the pictures are often fake or conveniently staged. Would you rather see a bunch of average or ugly men represent you or a 9/10 girl who looks like perfect wife material and generates sympathy from enemies and allies alike? protip the more oppressive a government is towards its own people, the hotter the wamen is a general rule

I think that was the better part of a decade ago. When the economy took a downturn, a lot of soibois were trying to join for adventure, and it turns out they were not cut out for military service. The bar for FFL has not been lowered, so the expectation is that you can pull your own weight and do military things. Most Americans who joined would fail out unless they had some military experience because they understood how to succeed. Train hard and do it Lain!
>>20264
>kinda shizo
It was about the use of women in psyops, not that the women were actually 9/10. Another facet of this is showing pictures of injured female troops because it triggers men into getting very angry at whoever could hurt a woman.
