Found an email and pass to a bitcoin wallet with some cash, what to do? Warn the guy or get the money?
If get the money, how to do in a way that I dont get traced?
Unidentified · 2019-07-11 13:14
It's probably fake. How much money?

Maybe don't be a dick. Try having some empathy. How would you feel if someone jacked your funds?
Bobby Newmark · 2019-07-11 17:53
Take some money as a crypto security consultancy fee.
Give the rest back and shrug.

I did sent an email to him and the site, they changed the pass. But I got no reward
>>12173
Could have done that, but it would have been hard to wash and not being traced

Blockchain hopping is pretty safe bet.
Exchange bitcoin for ethereum or monero and then back to bitcoin.
Cross blockchain transactions are not easily traced.

Goddam OP. This is the risk with crypto. However you know who they are. What happened, you steal it?

What the actual fuarrrk, these are a lot of money.
Take half through the method that anon exposed in >>12191 and the other half return to him and send him an email (thought maionesia or yopmail) to explain the situation.

found this thread too late op
you should've taught the owner the most important lesson in crypto: if you don't own your keys, you don't own your crypto
have an outdated list of exchange hacks https://blog.localethereum.com/centralised-exchanges-are-terrible-at-holding-your-money/
if you're looking to convert btc to xmr there are several mixing services available.. elude (3% fee), morphtoken (~1% fee + flat fee) or flyp.me (they have a slight spread); for going the other way around you can use xmr.to (no fee but you're limited to 0.1 btc at a time). elude & xmr.to both have onion addresses, none of them require kyc or registration.
once you are in monero-land it is recommended to send transactions to yourself to increase your ring-size, each time you do this the probability of an adversary tracing your funds decreases, 5-7 times ought to be enough even for the most paranoid, after which you can convert back to btc, a stablecoin of your choosing, or send to an exchange ;)

I told the site and the user the issue, they changed the pass but sent no reward to me the dicks.
>>12201
Should have taken a bit, but my first access was on clear non VPN from my house. I did not believed the user and pass was valid when I found.
>>12206
That sounds great, but yes too late. I am also too correct to do this and not be afraid or feeling bad about it. In the end I got no reward or sorry about it. I hope this karma comes back to me one day.

Your reward is you didn't put more suffering into the world.
