Lain hair

Hagbard Celine · 2019-07-02 17:01
Would it be gay for a boy to have hair like Lain? He wouldn't like to be similar in any other ways, just the hair. Would it be gay?
Ishikura "Tatsu" Tatsuhiko · 2019-07-02 17:18
Does it matter?
Masami Eiri · 2019-07-02 17:32
If it turns out bad it doesn't seem too hard to fix to look less feminine
Yamaoto Toshi · 2019-07-02 17:47
>>11987 Imagine being this insecure.
Nell · 2019-07-02 17:54
I thought of making my hair like lains. I often grow long hair over time and keep it, lots of guys got long hair around here and its not gay at all. Lain doesnt have that long hair, it wouldnt look too feminine on a guy i think.
Drifter · 2019-07-02 18:07
>>11991 it's not about lenght, i already have a long hair, but something like metal fans. I talk about that queue at the left front side with the ribbon. >>11990 I'm not insecure i'm just asking my fellow lainons what do they think it would look like. If someone ask a friend or a companion what do they think about his looks, does it mean that he's insecure? I don't think so.
Acid Burn · 2019-07-02 18:12
>>11992 There's a big difference in the way you see yourself if you ask "would X look good?" against "would it be gay if Y?" I think it'd look great but that's not the question you made. You asked if it would be gay to have hair like lain. I think the correct answer is >>11988
John Titor · 2019-07-02 18:30
>>11993 >>11988 >Does it matter? It matters to me, because i'm trying to be social, at least a little bit. I don't give a fuarrrk what random people on the tram or the streets think, but it can affect important people's behaviour. There are different types of looking inappropiate. The punk (including cyberpunk) look is just pseudoinappropiate because nowaday nobody thinks you're significantly different from normal people if you look punkish. But if you look feminine despite being a man, you are labelled as gay at the first sight and everybody will speak with you differently. People will speak differently even if they discover you only had 1-2 girlfriends, and if they discover that you're a virgin, they think you're gay. Why I want to be part of such an ignorant bad society? Well idk, i discovered that if i stay by myself too long my functions reduce to biological sustaining. If i enter society even a little bit, my functions get much better and i become productive.
Erik Johansson · 2019-07-02 20:11
>>11994 You do not need to explain yourself. I understood without all of that needed to be said, those people are just arguing that "looking gay" isn't a bad thing. Ignore them, they're just ignorant to social expectations. As for "would a male look gay". It really depends on how you dress and all that. For example, look up the guy who is in nevershoutnever. He doesn't look gay, just like a guy that likes hippie culture a little bit. You won't look like a huge glitterboy, but you'll look different from the average dude. Just try it out and if it doesn't look right on you (which you will probably know by looking in the mirror), just get rid of it. You may want to look up on /fa/ or something like it, you are likely to get better answers. (Although, you may need to describe your body type and how you dress at the minimum...Possibly your social standing as well.) Good luck fashionable lainon!
Apoc · 2019-07-02 20:35
>>11994 >People will speak differently even if they discover you only had 1-2 girlfriends, and if they discover that you're a virgin, they think you're gay. Gee man, nobody puts that much attention in any other person. Really, those are just your insecurities speaking. Why wouldn't you ask your friends instead of random people on the Internet otherwise?
Vasya Pupkin · 2019-07-02 21:04
>>11987 Just go for it and try it out. Like you I'm often not as confident as I should be. Also, you talk about being social, but in my experience the way you act and interact with people is more important than your looks, not that they aren't important, though.
Jet Black · 2019-07-02 22:08
>>11994 I remember being this insecure. You're writing both sides of conversations that never took place.
Joe Bloggs · 2019-07-02 22:09
>>11995 If what you're wearing and how you do your hair aren't authentic expressions of you, then no matter how gay you look you will seem false.
Random · 2019-07-02 23:54
>>11999 Why do you think my hobby is making up stories? It actually happened a lot, with me and with other guys too. This thread was not about insecurity at all and not even about me. Or is it that it works differently in your country? This thing is ironic. People say: >Gee man, nobody puts that much attention in any other person Then turn the whole thread into a discussion about my personality, while i only asked a hairstyle advice. >>12000 That sounds true. How can somebody find what are the authentic expressions of him? (If there is any method besides trying them out one by one)
Yuki Nagato · 2019-07-03 00:26
>>12003 Well that's an easy answer. When you're being who you are and dressing yourself in the morning and not having to say "P-please.... Tell me... Do I look g-g-g-gay in this? owo" that's an authentic expression.
Linda Lee · 2019-07-03 01:18
>>11995 >It matters to me, because i'm trying to be social >but it can affect important people's behaviour Something to consider is that stading out a bit, even if you seem to fit an unfavourable sterotype, is that stading out might be good; it might make you more insteresting on first or second thought for other people. http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20190514-taking-a-more-outlandish-approach-to-workwear-could-pay-off Talks about it but there are other places that discuss this, i just can't remember them right now.
Maschinenmensch · 2019-07-03 03:54
>>12003 >That sounds true. How can somebody find what are the authentic expressions of him? (If there is any method besides trying them out one by one) That's pretty much how you do it. >>12000 gives the best advice honestly. You have your whole life ahead of you, so don't worry. With patience and effort you'll figure out what is you eventually. I understand what you are saying about people treating you differently. Some communities are unfortunately more judgmental and or conservative than others. The advice I usually give people is go with whatever will make you feel the most confident. In my honest opinion, if you face is attractive and you go with a fairly expensive and high quality hair stylist it will look good. Otherwise it likely will not.
Maschinenmensch · 2019-07-03 04:14
>>12007 I thought of some additional comments. It is said that having slightly androgynous features makes people more attractive. If you are gay or bi or something, it's totally ok. Don't feel bad about it. Good on you for working on being social.
Just another Random Lainon · 2019-07-03 17:48
>>11987 Yes. Might be worth it though
Bob Arctor · 2019-07-04 01:48
nodoit i would like lain hair too, you should do it
Unnamed · 2019-07-04 20:10
>>12008 I'm bi. Androgyny is that good soykaf--almost always the most attractive people are a little androgynous. All my straight girl friends also agree, fwiw. Just go for it. Why not try? You can always change your mind later. Let your desires rather than your fears dictate your path in life whenever possible.
Random · 2019-07-05 00:42
>>11987 i have actually done this! here's the problems i encountered: - i have naturally wavy hair, so already it starts off looking quite different. This also causes the long bit to look bad and curl off at the end even when tied. I fixed this by braiding the long part, but then it's a departure from the trve lain. -real hair doesn't clump into locks the same way anime hair does, sothe long part ends up looking too thin. the only way i could see getting around this would be to have that bit as a single dredlock? but I think that would probably look bad. here's the pic of me with that hair. in the end i cut off the long part and made it sort of a bowl cut. >Would it be gay? the fuarrrk does that even mean. a hair cut can't make you attracted to men
John Titor · 2019-07-05 02:19
>>12069 Yeeah sorry buddy, that looks nothing like Lain hair. Looks more like a sideways mullet.
Incognito · 2019-07-05 03:18
>Cool haircut! I see you're a huge fan of Zelda as well! Why just one lock though? Besides, cosplaying anime characters IRL is stupid. You're not them in normal life, only on anime cons.
Agent Smith · 2019-07-05 03:23
>>12071 yeah i agree, good thing i never leave the house and noticed it looked bad after a couple days. well my hair is too curly to pull it off anyway, so I didn't expect it to turn out great.
Pulse · 2019-07-05 12:25
>>12069 >>12074 There are ways to make one's hair less curly. You could have even straightened just the lock if you had desired. Also, I would remind you that Lain uses a hair clip to keep it together. I think it was still essentially doable in your case.
Armitage · 2019-07-05 19:10
>>12078 i tried a hair clip and hair ties, both of them left a wierd spread-out part at the bottom where my hair seperated and curled up a bit. as for straightening, whenever i straighten my hair it curls up at the ends and looks really bad. I have included a scientific diagram showing what that looks like. I'm sure there's ways around that too, but honestly it's too much hassle and i'm lazy.
Dr. X · 2019-07-05 19:11
>>12087 it ate my oekaki for some reason.
