What is your best personal example of an ambiguously or only lightly paranormal or otherwise "weird" experience? By "ambiguously or only lightly" I mean that straightforwardly paranormal experiences ("a vampire sucked my blood") are not what I'm asking for, but experiences that could suggest a paranormal (or otherwise "weird") explanation are desired. Examples of appropriate posts are the time your dream predicted the future (could be coincidence), your weak evidence of your neighbor's child being a changeling, or that time you saw a dodo when hiking (pretty strange, but more believable than a goatman).

i usually have 1-2 dreams a year that come true. by that I mean I experience an event or see people I did not know, then the dream makes sense when I meet them irl. the focal point of the dream is usually little details like the edge of a desk or the hand motion of an individuals hand. but it aligns exactly with the actual occurrence which is how I can recognize it is the dream. I started keeping records of when I have the dreams since they don't make sense at the time (even though I only have them rarely) the dreams seem too vivid and appear like a memory (that has not yet happened). I also get feelings before bad things happen, like I have a sudden anxiety followed by what appears to be an unnatural calm. usually i find out that some event happened right when I felt the anxiety, even though i am nowhere near it. an example would be i felt it early in the morning, and later in the day found out someone I knew an-heroed at the same time as my feeling. my mother said she has a similar "6th sense" and she called me one time to tell me she had a really vivid bad dream about my brother getting in trouble with the police and it caused her to wake up, and then my brother called several minutes later and said he got stopped for speeding, and he described it exactly as my mothers dream. I cannot explain the phenomenon, but maybe people are more connected than we can see.

>>10502 Recently? Being psychically attacked by the all seeing eye in a dream. Woke up in sleep paralysis. The set up for my dream came true in the day and then disaster struck at night. Feels prophetic in hindsight. Otherwise my experience with a tulpa, certain entheogenic substances with regards to perspective or repeatedly surviving suicide attempts.

I posted a while ago in /zzz/ about a woman who visited me in my dreams. It doesn't happen so much now. I think the best explanation of that though is "I need to get laid" lol

Once when i was a teenager, roughly a year after i left school i had a dream that i would have sex with a person from school. I hadn't been in contact with this person for some time, i believe we were facebook acquaintances who sometimes talked online, but we definitely didn't hang out. I wake up, this person sends me a message and asks if i can help them with English lessons (i'm not from the US), i say yes and we end up having sex. We didn't talk since, we just became acquaintances again. I only know that this isn't a fake memory because at the time i thought this was so insane that i wrote it all down, so i wouldn't doubt myself in the future. This happened almost 10 years ago, i used to have a lot of these very specific dreams, like dreaming about walking in a street i've never been to, and then having to go to that street a few days later. They don't happen anymore though.

>>10621 >repeatedly surviving suicide attempts If you don't mind my asking, were your methods statistically likely to be fatal? I know a guy who claims his revolver jammed.

Over the years I've noticed that some of my creative writings have made their way into reality in some form. The first time this happened was when I was back in high school, I was making a story idea and decided to make the main character a self-insert with his two friends just being random characters I made up. About a year or so later I finally make my first friends, with said friends looking almost identical to the two characters I designed. One of them was even studying to be a mechanic like one of my characters. I also feel like I might have predicted a few internet soykafshows as well. Of course, it never works on purpose. I can't just write a self-insert for the purpose of giving them something I want and I'll get that in real life. It all reminds me of the whole meme magic thing people were raving about several years ago.

>>10626 Suicide attempts aren't a button in a videogame. Often times you give up before trying, or you half assedly try. The emotional impact fuarrrks you up regardless, if you reach a point where you honestly, seriously considers and prepares for suicide, you fuarrrked.

>>10626 Hanging myself by cutting off blood supply through carotid arteries. Knocked me out in maybe 20 seconds but obviously doesn't kill you for quite a while and my belt broke. Stacking respiratory depressants and hoping they'd catch up to me, just ended up very uncomfortable from taking more than the recreational dose of opiates. Really thought this one would work given all the harm reduction soykaf posted online but I guess the war on drugs is an even bigger farce than I thought it was. I've never tried stupid non-methods like acetaminophen overdose or exsanguination and I don't have access to guns in my country. >>10629 I'm not really counting the ones where I give up before trying, they don't mindfuck you like waking up alive after you resigned yourself to death.

>>10502 It's fairly common for people to dream of someone on the night they die. This happened to me, my old dog visited me and it felt like he was saying goodbye. I talked to my friend who had him, and the dog was bitten by a snake and died. There's a thread on Reddit where someone has a dream of a lady's life, with specific names that she couldn't have known. She told her mother, turns out the dream was her grandma dying and apologising to her mother for some bad stuff that happened after, which the mother had never told anyone about. I'm usually a really scientific person. The skeptical answer is that these are just coincidence but I don't buy that.

It happens every day, several times. I'll just simply think of something, and that thing will happen. I'll think about somebody I haven't met in years, and happen to see them the next day. It started to happen over a year ago now. At first I just thought of it as random chance, but it's been happening so often that it makes me feel like I have control over what happens around me. It's a very odd thing, I know. But I don't have another way of thinking about it. My auntie used to have cancer, she had it for years, and the one day I think to myself 'It's really crazy to think she could be dead any day." She died the next day. It really makes me feel like I have some unusual power. A power that can be very dangerous. It drives me insane that everything I think of can just happen like that. It makes me try and force myself not to have any crazy thoughts, like deaths, accidents, or tragedies.

>>12357 I've been dealing with the same for years, you get used to it. I'm sure you've already noted that if you try to test it and make yourself think something on purpose that something wont actually happen. Also I've noted even if some thought randomly pops into my head it's not always predictive of anything, so it's about of zero value to anyone. It's just a feeling, bro, think nothing of it :P I have some kind of psychological block about talking about these things so I can't come up with any quick story now, maybe I'll come back someday.

>>10661 I don't remember most of my dreams unless something during the day prompts it. You probably dream about lots of people every night and don't remember. If someone tells you one of these people just died, suddenly you remember that dream. How's that for an explanation?
