How do I into programming? I've always been awful at maths but passionate about computers and technology. I'm not sure if I would even have the patience to learn a whole language but I'd be a failure to myself if I never gave a real effort. Do you have any suggestions or stories on how you learned?

My suggestion is that you chose a project first, than look for a language that would both be good for implementing that and also that are interesting for you. Then you look for a book about the language that have good reviews on the web (amazon for example) that you can find for free on libgen and read it thinking about what parts of the language would be useful for your project and go from that. Be sure to use a compiler/interpreter along as you play with the exercises of the book.
