So, I haven't been staying up to date with torrent trackers lately, and after demise of KAT, i don't know what's its current status anymore. There are many domains that claim to be official one(s), but at this point I can't really tell the legit one from mirrors or just fakes myself. If anybody could give me a quick rundown of current situation, I'd really appreciate it. Posting this thread here, since it doesn't really deserve own place in any of thematic boards, for only being such a simple question. Hope some Lain can help though.

bump :/

no need to bump fam that board is really slow. I dunno about kat I haven't used them for years but depending on what you look for rutracker is cool

I had the same problem as you so I just decided to stop using anything KAT related. I've been using tparser, 1337x and tpb (only when I'm desperate) for music-movies-software and nyaa for animu and soykaf related.

>>5994 >>5995 Thanks for the input Lains. As for rutracker, I'm well aware of that one, i love it and it's usually my go-to in most situations, though there are rare cases when it fails to provide me with what I've been looking for (and the comment section is rather cumbersome to read, since i need to translate it first, but that's not the biggest deal). Gonna check tparser and 1337x as well though. Also, to add something from myself - for anime, animetosho.org and tokyotosho.info are pretty useful

There's places around, but KAT is dead. If you need a new place for torrents, then it depends on what you want. rarbg is used for movies and TV.

As far as KAT is concerned, the most legit would be https://katcr.co/ . Last I checked it didn't have much, but that was a while ago. Apparently it's picking up. https://torrentfreak.com/kickasstorrents-brought-back-to-life-by-original-staffers-161216/ https://torrentfreak.com/the-kickasstorrents-shutdown-one-year-later-170720/ Personally using https://nyaa.si/ and https://bakabt.me/ for anime, though baka has gone private. https://rarbg.to/ has been good for movies and https://thepiratebay.org/ for whatever else.

>>6008 OP here, i've been looking mostly for specialized software, so there's no need to post any more of anime ones Also, i'd really want to avoid those requiring JS, what's the point of forcing people to use it on a torrent tracker site other than displaying pottentially harmful ads and possibly mining BTC even?
The Phantom Phreak · 2017-12-02 21:07
>>6108 If you want to know about trackers' current state check https://www.reddit.com/r/trackers/ Also if you don't want js why don't you try noscript?
Hong, Guil Dong · 2017-12-05 12:37
>>6109 You misunderstood, lain. I mean i block JS on every tracker i use, but there are some that REQUIRE it (aka won't work at all otherwise)
Nosferatu · 2017-12-15 13:40
>>5987 Find a good private tracker that suits your needs, that or just use PirateBay, but if you cant find it, Extratorrents is still up, not sure of the domain though.
Armitage · 2018-09-24 03:00
>>6109 That obamacoffee won't be on reddit long, with them banning everything.
Netrunner · 2018-09-27 01:53
thepiratebay.org still goes on. 1337x.to a nice site torrentz2.eu an index like google
