Let it be a thread with investing tips for poor people. I am 19 yo, I've got around 1300$, (in my country it's about 1.5 of average month salary, you can buy a cheap car for it) how do I invest it?
Batou · 2017-11-08 14:27
Bitcoin and sell it in one or two months, repeat with ethereum and monero and other crypto

>>5817 Is investing in BTC or cyrptos like that right now actually a legitimately safe thing? I'm not OP btw but I've been looking into all these cryptocurrencies finally lately, I got a small amount of coins some time ago which definitely have grown nicely but I've put it off for a while because I haven't had time to really look into it much lately, but now I have a lot of questions. I mean, if I had, say, ~$1000 (more or less) to invest initially and I put that into BTC or some other currency right now, would it be safe to assume I would make a decent roi, and how much could I really even expect to have made within 6 months/a year or so? Is it worth the effort and risk? I could likely borrow seed money via kind family to add to this or other ventures as long as I won't completely *lose* it, too - Its not like that value can just evaporate overnight, at worst itd just stagnate (but when will it hit its ceiling?) so I think this can work as long as I can pay back the initial amount in due time and grow from there.. I was also looking into 'day trading' between currencies to expedite growth, but that seems too much like gambling to me, but it also does seem one can make money fast that way and people do, and I have a lot of free time at the moment and will for a while now so I would have time to keep track of markets and do research, thats just a whole new field though, but is that a real thing worth looking into? Any info or tips or resources someone could provide on the topic would be nice. I'm so upset with myself for not having invested for the years I've known about this stuff while coins have went from $20 to now, what, $6000...? - and I want to really start getting into this now before any more time passes. I've got a lot to learn but seeing this thread right now spurred this idea in me so I figured I'd ask because this all seems really worth looking into and I may as well put some effort in and see where it takes me.. I need to find a way to invest some money for a year or so in various ways until I can resume work next year because I have no way to get reasonable employment in meatspace for the time being, long story. So this is a good thread, even if there is no elaboration in the OP or reply maybe we can get something going? I need to figure out alternative income sources now and ways to build cash in the meantime until I can devise a long-term solution to the whole money problem.. Where does one even start with all this? Sorry if I seem naive but I just need a point in the right direction or something like that. I'm pretty lost with my finances at the moment and need all the help I can get.

Buy Venezuelan government bonds 200% yield cuz of economic collapse and Maduro needs the money to pay off the army and cops. China has vested interest in Venezuela which shows in its 10 billion $ bond buy and Goldman Sachs too. The question is whether or not will oil prices on international market go up. Venezuelan economy is in shambles because they burdened their socialistic state with just one main export which is the expensive to pump out Venezuelan oil. If international prices go up then you might get by with that investment with buying the bonds since that means the Venezuelan government will survive the 2 years. However I don't that is much likely, taking in account Kurdistan and Saudi peices and royal families getting arrested not to mention CIA/FBI turning a blind eye to Iraqi dinar counterfeiting and US deep state interests in keeping Russia in shambles.

>>6309 Addendum As with every stalemate position and high pressure from elites controling global politics for monetary gain, "something has to give" let the bodies hit the floor As we all know 2030 to 2040 are years of max oil pumping, then it will slowly go down and all reserves around the world will start going dry. This is where the artificial controling of prices will hit a brick wall called "supply and demand". Surely by then we will all be in cozy self driving electric cars and few 3rd world countries will still use gas but even today we are little by little sensing this shift in price of the main driving energy of world.

>>5826 >would it be safe to assume I would make a decent roi, and how much could I really even expect to have made within 6 months/a year or so? There's no such thing as free money. Any investment which returns more than a CD (1-3% APR) has an associated amount of risk. There's an entire industry dedicated to which of those risks are worth taking, and how to take them, but even most mutual funds don't do more than 12% average APR over a 10-year period. Bitcoin is volitale. The price goes up, the price goes down, you can't explain that. >Its not like that value can just evaporate overnight, at worst itd just stagnate The value of a Bitcoin determined entirely on how much someone else is willing to pay for it. Markets can and do crash overnight. The best way to make money off of crypto right now is to develop a trading algorithm to sit on an exchange and make trades for you. Because there's still a lot of humans making trades, even simple learning algorithms have a competetive advantage.

>>5825 BTC is falling right now, don't know how far it will go or when it'll pull up but it'll almost definitely recover sometime. i've recently gotten into day trading crypto, starting small cause i don't want to fuarrrk up big time but made a decent bit of cash so far. don't want to seem like a wage slave though
