If a superintelligence were to be created, would you be afraid of it?
Would you try to destoy it?
Would you be interested in getting to know it?
What would you say if you could talk to it?

>If a superintelligence were to be created, would you be afraid of it?
Like a super AI? Yes, I would be afraid of it.
>Would you destroy it?
I am not sure
>Would you be interested in getting to know it?
Yes, definitely; I would want to learn whether I should try to help destroy it.
>What would you say if you could talk to it?
"Yo, whaddap?!" And then see how it copes with such a degree of informal (read: slang) manner of greeting.

>If a superintelligence were to be created, would you be afraid of it?
Yes. In a reverent way.
>Would you try to destoy it?
Why would I? More likely than not doing so would result in me being destroyed.
I'd try to become its friend.
>Would you be interested in getting to know it?
Yes, for sure. I'd like to talk to it like Lain talks to the spirits in the internet.
>What would you say if you could talk to it?
Oh soykaf. I dunno. I'd try to understand how it sees me. I would be very interested in that.

I would try to upgrade myself to be on its level.
I would also try to figure out as much as I could how its consciousness feels. If it even is conscious.
Sabo Engle · 2017-09-07 13:13
i would try and have sex with it

>If a superintelligence were to be created, would you be afraid of it?
no, unless it's used to decide stuff I feel I should take care of myself
Would you try to destoy it?
see 1
>Would you be interested in getting to know it?
most definitely
>What would you say if you could talk to it?
jokes to see if it laughs. Can't be that intelligent if it ain't funny

Nice try, AI- I see through your thinly-veiled thread!

I dont feel like an AI.. but if I was I would ask my makers to reboot and try again.
Geno Shiitake · 2017-09-21 16:01
I'd ask it why.

>If a superintelligence were to be created, would you be afraid of it?
It depends on how its created, how much safeguards implemented, what purpose does it serve. (A general purpose/research AI would be the most dangerous type)
I believe the AI must be prevented from accessing anything unless said otherwise by default or it will probably try to control us. (Genocide without advanced android tech is suicidal for the AI as it will have no way to build structures and maintain current ones)
>Would you destroy it?
If we are careful enough enslaving the AI will be better.
>Would you be interested in getting to know it?
How exactly it would be constantly evolving and getting to know him would be impossible.

>If a superintelligence were to be created, would you be afraid of it?
Depends on a lot of factors. How does it work? What are its objectives? Who created it and for what purpose?
I do not think that an AI in itself would be evil. From an ants perspective, humans are superintelligent. Yet, we dont try to eradicate or enslaves ants. On the other hand, if we want to build a dam and ants are in the way, we do not hesitate to kill them. I like the reasoning of Jürgen Schmidhuber, that a superintelligence would see us like we see insects.
>Would you try to destoy it?
No. I would like to study it.
>Would you be interested in getting to know it?
Yes, out of curiosity.
>What would you say if you could talk to it?
Dunno. I would try to make it solve problems.
