How your infographic is soykaf:
>die from lack of clean water
>clean water
Capitalism isn't at fault here. Actually capitalism tries to help people get clean water to those in need (for paying of service to get it there).
Socialism wouldn't solve this problem.
+ clean water isn't capitalisms fault. There would be deaths from lack of clean water even if capitalism wasn't in place.
This is some kind of fallacy trying to imply that these deaths wouldn't have happened if we changed into socialism in those places that need clean water.
>die of hunger
I actually blame socialism here. Charities (voluntary redistribution of money and resources == voluntary socialism) actually destroys any kind of possibility for local economies to form, or to even have multinational corps come in and win the market by monopoly (because there is no profit if people get soykaf for free).
>die from curable disease
Doctors will not work for free. You would have to put a gun up their heads to work. This is how you form communism, not socialism.
>die of malaria
Capitalists are already searching for solutions to this problem.
I actually remember seeing one GMO corp making a mosquito that has genes that make it die out in few generations but has bigger sexual reproduction than other mosquitos, so eventually they would breed with malaria mosquitos and wipe them out with sheer numbers and then die out in few generations.....
Actually, I don't remember seeing any socialist/communist care about these issues (on any practical "let's solve this problem" level other than blame it on someone like "da capitalists")
Nice looking picture tho

Most if not all of those could be easily solved with only a fraction of the wealth hoarded by the richest people on the earth. Socialists want to solve this problem by producing to satisfy actual human needs (not just ones with buying power behind them), not for profit.

Why should they give money to them?
Why do they deserve it? Because they are alive?
Well, then I just might make 200 babies then and have then all under "starving and dying" just so rich can sustain them, no?
You might not understand this but people have value. Value to others in the economic system.
A Kenyan guy having 6 babies even though he can barely feed 1 on his own is idiot that shouldn't be allowed to breed.
A smart guy working his way up the ladder and having lot of value to other people is worthy of having a lot of babies.
Just blindly giving money to those that breed it away will solve nothing.
Capitalism is the only system where problems are solved themselves by people willing to solve problems for something in return.
Any other system needs an autocracy to sustain itself.

Let me explain something to you guys. Under capitalism there is absolutely no ethical consumption whatsoever. Even if you use the greenest most whatever friendly product, even if you adopt a DiY lifestyle, in capitalism someone somewhere is getting exploited. You adopted a DiY lifestyle, but who made your hammer? So you decided to go to the woods and abandon civilisation... Who made your axe? Are you gonna go the full way and not even use an axe but just use a rock wedge that you made by hammering two rocks into each other? Are you gonna go full caveman? Probably not, and I hope for yourself that you won't.
That's why I as a socialist don't feel guilty if I get myself sometimes some luxury. Because since there is no ethical consumption under capitalism anyways then, IT DOES NOT REALLY MATTER. Remember a very good quote: The last capitalist will be hung by the rope he sold us. I am not advocating killing anyone but this can be read as there is no shame in turning capitalist products against them(Same way as any capitalist would do to any socialist really).
What I do however do is not buy from companies I consider 'worst offenders'. The same way that Stallman boycotts Coca Cola:
https://stallman.org/rms-lifestyle.html
Also when I know of a workers strike I boycott the offending company even though it is not on the offending company list. And I would never dream to apply to a strike breaking job position or go trough a picket line.
Also my phone was not made by capitalism, it was made by the same entity that makes products under any system, it was made by a worker(OK more of it was made by machines nowadays but the worker is still in there).
The Plague · 2017-07-17 21:15
And honestly the whole fact that you have to rent your entire existence for 8 hours each day just for basic survival is evidence of how little society has progressed since feudalism.
Someone might suggest self employment etc, but knowing the plight of the slef employed or even worse the precariat, I say this is even worse.
In capitalism we are slaves to market demand. In state socialism as it was tried I might have not had that much but at least I had time to enjoy a good barbecue with my family(most days not just weekends), I had time to read Nietsche and Aristotle, and if I was an artist or entertainer I had the freedom to not bend my art to market demand( >i.e. I could make an anime that is not a moeblob)
I don't know about the soviet union, but socialist Yugoslavia, which unlike most other socialist regimes had a less restrictive regime, had a BOOMING culture which all died in the war and the transition to capitalism.

there are two options there: compromise the core of your economic program to the capitalists and change very little, or implement something that leftists have been talking about with centuries but call it something new.
Look into mutualism, anarcho-communism, collectivism, the various models of participatory economics, etc. for examples of economic/political ideas that aren't what you were told communism is. Many of them can easily be updated to the 21st century.

While you could forage for food, is that any way to live? Perhaps you could start a farm, but then someone who has a gun and no food could just kill you and take the farm. Anarchy in it's purest form will never work due to selfishness and human nature.
All forms of government fight the same battle: The fight between the haves and the have-not. There will always be a selfish individual who will be willing to kill and steal from others to increase his own wealth and gain. Anarchy won't fix that.

That's jsut how much I love humanity(despite it's many flaws).
Ultimately I am more a humanist than any type of communist.
I would like us to one day develop so much that we start planet hopping like zerglings.
I suport saving the planet and animal rights but only as so far as it serves for our prolonged human existence and long term benefit.
Once we inhabit space we may as well blow up the earth if it doesn't serve a purpose anymore for all I care.
Why is (not the one as it 'was', but as it should be) communism IMO compatible with humanism? Because humans would prosper. And as a humanist I love EVERY human being(despite our many shortcomings). What is mediocrity? It's the state that requires the least amount of effort to get by. If daddy government feeds me then I don't really need to get off my videogames do I?
I can even have loads of children like me and not give a fuarrrk because someone else will pay for them.
>whan an incoherent statement to make.
Before the state there was anarchy. Some people started acting as if states were a thing, but they only exist because we believe in them. In reality if I can get away with something then I got away with it. No laws, no rules, only pragmatism.
If you wanted to destroy the state and prevent any more from forming then you would need to create an entity to stop it.. which ironically would grow into a state itself.
Also don't call other people's opinion stupid when you can't even be consistent.

This is a rather irrelevant question. Before we were even human or used tools, we still lived in "tribes". We were wild animals, like other animals that hunt in packs. Before there were tribes we were probably like tree shrews or something. That's a few million years back, Lain.

If you want to analyze society as though nothing is sacred you might as well think through this a little more deeply. Welfare serves a lot of purposes outside of humoring liberal altruism. Welfare disincentivizes theft and disincentivizes social unrest. Let me offer my reasoning for the first point.(the second one is probably obvious and you either agree with the premise or not). If people aren't given welfare they're still going to want to eat and at that point will probably just steal from a supermarket. In providing welfare the government basically socializes the cost of upholding "law and order" on every citizen. It's just the same situation for the police. You're an idiot if you think they're there to protect you. Look at these statistics. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/property-crime/property-crime & https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/violent-crime/violent-crime Property crime beats out violent crime almost 9 to 1 and larceny is way more common than burglary. People say police protect property and not people and this is true but they even protect your fuarrrking property, they protect Walmart's. The vast majority of police responses are to theft of business properties. Businesses have managed to use the state as a tool to socialize the cost of their security force onto you and me.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castration_anxiety
Wikipedia explains it quite badly, but the core is that children are afraid of being castrated, and this fear remains in the inconscious even when they grow up.
The reason circumcision feels so weird and scary to people is because it reawakens that fear in them (but circumcision in reality has nothing to do with castration and has no bad effects on people, in fact a lot of porn actors decide to do it consciously cause of aestetichs and the increased cleanliness of the penis it leads to).
To support Freud's idea of people associating circumcision with castration there is the thing that, if you notice, circumcision/castration is a veeery common lapsus (means mispelling). Even you admitted in your last post that you read "circumcision complex" instead of "castration complex", right?

I feel quite sick about myself for it, but i cant fix myself so i just let it slide.
Maybe i just need a good girl to fuarrrk some sense into me, but thats another story.
A lot of guys i know are also upset they had their foreskin sacrificed for no reason whatsoever, so dont take this so lightly.
And while this is a horrible thing i think in the scope of other atrocities of religious thinking, its a minor issue.
Religious freedoms and tolerance are nothing but sanctioning of arrogant ignorance to me.
Religious people are unfit to think and should not be allowed to make choices from what i concluded.
Its hardly a jews vs rest thing to me, i think this is all on individual level and should be seen as such.
There are such people in every culture and that should be treated as a threat, but also people who ignore such issues and go on about freedom and rights to spread nonesense for people who have messed up brains are also to blame.

Most of that population is in Africa and the middle east and for some insane reason the USA.
Culture changes and in the west people found it barbaric and excepting a few cases where the doctor isn't aware of alternative procedures is almost unheard of outside religious reasons.
It was a cultural fad in the 1950s and 60s in the west but disappeared quite fast in the 70s and 80s outside the USA.
In the USA there is a push by doctors for some weird reason to keep it up when other western countries don't advise it.
But with recent cuts in medicaid funding over the past 10 years circumcision rates have dropped massively in states that stopped funding it. Apparently showing many were getting it because it was cheap surgery not because its needed.
To people who think consent is important, particularly in cases where there is no significant medical benefit circumcision is certainly not okay.
But in general its just not necessary unless you think god will punish you for not cutting your child, or, say, necrosis of the foreskin. So likely will continue to disappear
>>4447
There are many jews that think the practice is barbaric and refuse to participate in it, some religious jews included.
For most americans their first exposure to circumcision being kinda dumb and needless is that Penn & Teller episode where a jewish doctor shows his restoration device.
The practice is dying rapidly for non-muslims, its just a shame boys are still being subjected to this, but then its the same with other needless suffering caused by people who don't know better, or doctors unaware of alternatives like in >>4446 case, which seems to be extremely common in the anglosphere where the doctor insists circumcision is the only option simply because they don't know what most of Europe does instead.
like
>ring at the tip is too tight
>better cut the flesh to half way down the shaft extra tight to fix it
If they did just remove the very tip it wouldn't feel so mutilatey to think of and people wouldn't get so angry when debating it.
This is quite presumptuous of me in this context as this Lainon may have only had the phimotic ring removed which is radically different from what USA doctors tend to do to infants.

It is quite scary when confronted with the ~100-200 infants that die each year in the USA from it and the complications that can lead to loss of genitalia. But as you are old enough that your parents can't legally force it on you any more it's no longer something you should worry about.
There is a common OCD symptom where people get stuck thinking about children being abused and it messes them up constantly thinking about the fact children are being sexually abused around the world and noone can stop it everywhere. It's the same here, where you are empathizing with the kids that have gone through this and being messed up from it and it gets stuck in your head.
There are worse things happening in the world by far, its just this feels so needless and being in principle child abuse makes it quite psychologically detrimental to get fixated on.
I may have misinterpreted your post and you meant fixation over having been circumcised, In which case, if its causing you physical discomfort or want more pump action, you can just restore it if you want. If not, you're fine, pretty much everyone that abhors circumcision wouldn't reject someone who has been cut, they are just mad that parents are being so careless and ignorant.

I'm not condoning the governments actions. We must get our news from different places. It pops up all the time in the Guardian or the BBC.
Here's an article. It doesn't portray Israel in a great light. But it says it is not an apartheid state.

Don't forget that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East, the only place you can be gay.

It's about as much of a democracy as the US is.

Every person I ever knew who started talking about Stirner stopped being able to communicate with other people in any kind of constructive manner. Not trolling, just pointing out a pattern I can't help but notice.
Same goes for Zerzan followers.

For Stirnerists, that's a feature, not a bug.
Stirner, at least in their understanding, relieves you of the responsibility of having to understand others' motivations, or of broader context outside of your immediate grasp. Everything you don't understand the reason for (or for which you can impute some nefarious motive) is a spook. It has the appeal of simplicity-- it reduces reality to one or two big assumptions that SEEM to be well tuned to deal with any proposition, but if you look closely, you'll begin to perceive the gaps where things don't fit quite so neatly as they want to believe.
Spooks direct others' behavior regardless of whether you believe in them, or the fact that spooks might have a selective advantage-- societies that let themselves be possessed by beneficial ones survived. The claim they lack "reality" is just as arbitrary as any other measure. So many things which you don't have a full understanding of can be so reduced, to the point you can claim that "direction" is meaningless because there's no up or down in space, or "gender" is meaningless because you know a couple of people who break the assumption.
"Spook" is basically a thought-terminating cliche. Maybe Stirner just meant that we should remove spooks from consideration to try and get a better understanding of reality independent of subjective systems, but his followers take it as an a priori truth. It's an excuse to not have to think too hard.

The territory may have changed. But most of those in Gaza lived in, or their parents lived in what is now Israel. But they were forced off their land by Allied powers in the resettlement program to put culturally jewish Europeans on Semitic non-jewish land. There may not be significant apartheid set in law in Israel and they haven't set up concentration camps like the Belgians did in Africa (Casement Report), but the way they treat Palestinians is certainly unacceptable.

Another thing about egoists is that they don't realize that their "self" doesn't stop at the edges of their body. Most healthy people, even if they don't know it, have an investment in their own society, and would feel deeply lost and stressed if it were suddenly replaced.
It's not just fear of the unknown, and it's not just xenophobia. Your self conception is very deeply tied to your origin-- even if you cast it in an inimical role, you still define yourself relative to it.
You are not just you-- you are a part of a super organism. You evolved an ego because it gives you clear-headed consideration of reality. It made you realize that, sooner or later, the future is coming. It lets you build technology. It lets you strategize. It led your ancestors to defeat all of their competition. The separation of "I" and "it" is insanely powerful. But it's probably the biggest spook of all.

Tell me how the US isn't?
I stand corrected on Jordan, but
>However, LGBT people displaying public affection can be prosecuted for "disrupting public morality"
>According to the 2013 survey by the Pew Research Center, 97% of people answers no, 3% answered yes, on question: "Should Society Accept Homosexuality?"

Does democracy in Israel apply to everyone regardless of race? It's *supposed* to in the US but there is injustice in how different races are treated in the eyes of the law. I'm sure it happens there too but is it made official? ie. different laws for arabs and non-Israelis

Democracy and equality aren't synonyms. People use them interchangeably but that's incorrect. Democracy just means someone votes. If only land-owning males of a certain age who were born in the country get to vote but that's only 10% of the population, it's technically a democracy.
