Are mail order brides a real thing? I'm getting so lonely that I'd like any warm body that accepts me for who I am, even if they don't speak English very well.

Not in the sense that you order one online and pick her up at the airport. There are match making services where you travel overseas and meet women. Then you either get married there or obtain a 90 day fiancee visa and get married in America. Google it. Assuming you're Murican of course, other countries probably have different immigration laws.

>>1609 I don't want to travel over to another country and look for women. I want to meet one and then maybe travel so I can get to know her if I'm seriously interested. Why do I find that a lot of people online are caught up on going to another country in person to do this? It seems unintuitive in the age of Skype where you can get to know people before doing that.

>>1612 You don't "look for women" the agency arranges meetings. You have to go overseas because you have to be married or in a relationship otherwise the US government won't give your waifu a visa. Sometimes the agency will even supply a photographer to tag along on dates in case the gov't wants photographic proofs of a relationship. Does it make much sense? No, but that's gov't regulations for you.

>>1604 Yes OP, they are a thing, but there are several things you need to consider: 1-They may just be a more stable prostitute, being pimped into marriage 2- They see it as a business deal, I.E. they are only doing it for the money, (sometimes they actually have families in their countries of origin/are married) 3- They are spies trying to get information (hopefully you dont get wrapped up in the spook game) 4- They might be criminals/refugees (not the same, but classified for similar reasons) because they are running from something, be it the law or criminals. Many syrian women can be married for less than 3000$ flight included, saddly many of them are "married" to rich people who just wanna fuarrrk, then send them back to syria. If they are criminals running from the law, you better hope they don't want to steal all your soykaf. 5- it might be an actual scam
