A thread to share accomplishments or other things that you're proud or happy about, regardless of how big or small they may be.

I've finally gotten used to using cmus as my music player, bringing me one step closer to being less reliant on graphical programs for computing. Hopefully next week I can finally set up a window manager instead of relying on a desktop environment.

I managed to eat 2 full meals today.
Was hard going, but it's probably for the best.

I have rediscovered my passion for technology after four years. I'd say that's a pretty big step for me.

Got my first job ever (as a web dev) at a small company last summer. Made me feel really independant and the future seems bright for the first time. While working is exhausting at times, it's great knowing you're needed and seeing your contributions are being appreciated.

much easier to get used to CLI programs when you have a tiling wm imo. makes guis slightly less usable unless they're floating, so terminal becomes appealing

After failing to transfer to another college and an empty year...
-I am out of the gutters
-I am back to my original college

Got my depression a little more in check and managed to get a girlfriend. Its still not perfect but a lot better than I used to be. It's a nice little boost thinking about how far I've come.

in my opinion that's pretty impressive! i wish i could cut back/have more control over when I want to whack it but at the moment i'm really busy/stressed and if I try to limit myself I feel like soykaf (plus it's not like it's a terribly unhealthy thing to as long as I keep it reasonable) so i've accepted that it's not something I can change right now. i wish you the best of luck for maintaining your streak!

I was passing a block party/dance on the way home and decided to check it out. I'm not really a party person so I just stood on the side but it still felt kinda nice. I even made an attempt at talking to someone but she walked away as I approached so I figured she wasn't interested.
Thinking about it, if this had happened a few months ago I wouldn't have even stopped by the party, much less tried to talk to someone. Progress is nice.

Just finished my first translation work, I never thought someone would trust me to do this type of job.
