Word filters

The language enhancers here are annoying make the place come off as immature and almost reddit-like. Just my 2cents, I'm sure others feel this way.

OP again, also just to be clear I enjoy the place very much and only offer this feedback in hopes it can continue to grow and improve. I've seen mod feedback on low effort posts now and again and you guys seem to want genuine, mature discussion in general, which I feel the w‎ordf‎ilter actively works against.

The language enhancer as well as the changing names are there to reveal new users

They've been part of lainchan since it's inception, I think that they make this place more unique and they're part of lainchan's culture. Just my 2c.

The language enhancer reveals the newusers who come here to complain about freeze peach. There should be a subtle indicator on a post whether the post triggered the enhancer so newusers can be shamed even more.

That wouldn't shame anyone though, since most of this site's regular users still casually use the filtered words knowing they'll get changed and knowing that most other lains will know what they actually wrote. The real new user indicator is the fact that after using filtered words they tend to make another post "correcting" the filter and/or complaining about it.

Im having problems posting normal stuff because filters... POST BLOCKED BY FILTERS! WTF i got nothing odd, just monitor res, the word dell, trinitron etc etc This is a bit soykaf for a freedom chan!
