Why is the frog soykaf still up in the /vent/ thread?
>>>/hum/24579
They're breaking the 3 and 4 rules.
On the other hand my reminder that people should read the rules disappeared in a blink of an eye.

It has been removed now. As for why it is up so long, it is because /hum/ has been on fallback moderation since 3 months after /hum/ existed, and as for why your post was deleted first, it is because Rule 6 violations are normally handled before Rule 3 and Rule 4 violations, because there is more of the later to go through.
Another reason is because traditionally the vent thread has been a place of higher tolerance for poster laziness and inadvertent rule violation because just venting, however that tradition is eroding.

Shouldn't rules 3 and 4 have a higher priority?
What about setting up a system that looks for keywords and adds them to a queue depending on their severity?
The perfect system would be using machine learning and giving all the frog posters as input data, but that would be too cool to be real.

Priority is not as relevant, when you have 100 Rule 3 and Rule 4 potential violations to go through, and only 5 Rule 6 potential violations.
Especially when Rule 3 violations and Rule 4 violations require reviewing not only the post, but often the entire thread, which takes anywhere between 5x and 50x per post.
Yes there is already working ongoing to make an automated post reporting system, but looking for keywords isn't sufficient and using machine learning just results in too many false positives to be useful.
However developing such a system takes time. Patches and assistance are welcome, but in the short term the best can be done in order to prioritize stuff is to report it and explain why you reported it, as clearing the existing Report Queue is prioritized over reviewing Recent posts which is prioritized over doing complete thread or board reviews.

Should these posts be construed as a public acknowledgment that effectively moderating /hum/ is beyond the current capabilities of the site administration?

Yes.

Lol, you nearly said "frog blast the vent core".
