?

I'm also having this problem. On weechat, I can connect to the server, but when I try to join a channel, I get the message "irc: command "join" must be executed on connected irc server."
When I try to connect via the web client, I get the same output as >>6371

I can't connect either. Both weechat and irssi give me the same output (pic related).
Screenshot is from weechat. I don't know what to do, help is appreciated!

How does voice over IRC work? I was under the impression that IRC was text-only.

It is. That's why they also have a mumble server. "voice" on IRC is the ability for a channel's operator to mute any particular user on the channel. sending text to the channel will be rejected for the user.
> Parameters: <channel> {[+|-]|o|p|s|i|t|n|b|v} [<limit>] [<user>] [<ban mask>]
> v - give/take the ability to speak on a moderated channel;

Turn your laptop keyboard upside down, set your hair dryer to cool, and try to remove any excess Nesquik from the keyboard.

I think I got into the IRC, I have a list of users on the right and no error messages are displaying. Issue is, nobody is saying anything. Am I missing something here? I haven't used IRC before.
