I only use Linux for everyone of my computers. I have a 3000 dollar workstaion and I'd like to protect it with a UPS and surge protector combo. For a surge protector to work, it requires software not avaliable on Linux. No UPS exist with Linux software. Does this mean I should just buy a quality surge protector instead, and enable auto saving?
