>>6160 >>6158 The server is up, I don't know what is causing your connection issue.
Zhora · 2019-01-20 12:43
>>6161 I just tried to connect by typing everything out by hand via telnet. Your server doesn't seem to be replying properly. What software are you using to connect to it, and what software are you using on the backend?
Donna Hawthorne · 2019-01-20 13:15
what command are you giving to join the server? I just tried with `/connect -ssl irc.lainchan.org 6697` and it worked no problem.
Delilah · 2019-01-20 13:44
>>6163 >/connect -ssl irc.lainchan.org 6697 derp, ok it needed the -ssl flag thanks
Emmanuel · 2019-01-20 13:52
>>6164 It might be worth adding an addendum with like "via ssl" or something so people know to do this. irssi and similar clients do not warn when attempting to connect via plaintext to an ssl-based network, unfortunately
Boris Grishenko · 2019-01-20 18:57
on my updated version of irssi it's -tls
