Unlock the feminism thread on /hum/

No, dude. Just no. Stop locking threads just for bringing up the age of consent. There was plenty of other discussion in there, but that's not the point. Trying to have a discussion about feminism without bringing up their first and most significant achievement that paved the way for everything else they've ever done is like trying to have a discussion about the history of the Soviet Union without mentioning Joseph Stalin.

You may have something of a point, but I contend that this was still a major goal of feminism and deserves to at least be mentioned in the thread. Maybe it took the thread over a bit too much though. Despite my tendency to threadsoykaf on occasion, I have sympathy for what you as an admin have to deal with. I was probably a bit too harsh in my request. You doubtlessly understand the internet censorship situation right now and how that frustrates me and many others who belong to groups that have little to no public representation, so I may have overreacted. Please unlock the thread for the sake of the other posters in it. I had only one more post to make written up when you locked it - if you unlock the thread, I'll make only that one post and then bow out to allow discussion of the rest of the issues having to do with feminism.

Uh, I guess I'll take the blame here. I suppose my opening post was too vague and allowed for anyone to just come in and say whatever. I will try one more Feminism thread later but I will actually have more concrete points of discussion.
