Something like that strikes me as a fishing expedition for info. X can generally be anything like a medical condition, or even something that would seem minuscule, like what kind of program do you use for 'insert project here'. My years on other boards taught me to never answer them, and to simply report and move on. But aside that, I can't give you a definitive on what the terminology is for it aside from fishing/phishing.
