The thread was slightly derailed yesterday and the day before due to political posts. All of the political soykaf was deleted but it kept popping up

I disagree with locking it up though. Otherwise derailing threads could be a new tactic to prevent discussions about certain topics from happening.

Exactly. I don't know why but for some weird reason people are losing their soykaf whenever someone mentions Rust in the thread.

So, I was rather out of commission with regards to moderation for a few days, which is when this occurred, and so other staff handled this situation; I'm the primary /λ/ staff and this wasn't quite handled how I would've done it.
I intend to clean the thread and unlock it soon. When I noticed it had been locked, I was also very concerned that this could be used as a mechanism to stop threads in their tracks.
