junk threads

>>12564 I check /mega/ mostly and am seeing a lot of 4chan style threads pop up recently. Thread about 'leftists'. https://lainchan.org/hum/res/100807.html Bait deriding open source. https://lainchan.org/%CE%A9/res/93365.html 'Civilization collapse', 'white race', and an infographic that talks about 10 year old girls "sexual value". https://lainchan.org/hum/res/100802.html Looks like 4chan /pol/, /g/, and /r9k/ style content. First two are dumb single sentence starters and the last is just incoherent. And yet some reason any thread I make with a sufficient starting post gets blue-texted for 'spilling the soykaf'. So what are these? Tourists? Bots? Are they even human?

>>14163 these ideas are almost synonymous with (english language) image board culture nowadays. that said the second thread you linked just seems like a bog standard leftist opinion on so-called open source. I think the only reason that lainchan's culture (even if on life support) has survived becoming Literally Hitler!1!1, is simply its small size and its overall irrelevance and obscurity. if there have been earnest attempts at astroturfing they have been very ham fisted. afaict the sort of stuff you linked is just the average image board user, using an image board. like it or not, it is what it is. personally I think it's still less bad than mainstream social media, so that's why I'm here, and I don't plan on going anywhere.

>afaict the sort of stuff you linked is just the average image board user, using an image board. It's just that we have higher OP standards. The first and third are gone and good riddance. The third one was a special kind of disgusting, but the second still stands and it is literally just a copy pasted greentext. No opinion elaborated. Shit spilled everywhere. Granted, It could be worse, and a proper conversation was born despite the OP. That might have escaped the janitor's wrath. I've seen this guy post the same way about Linus Torvald's opinion on the usage of AI on the kernel project. Just copy pasted his email in greentext. that one was quickly deleted and you can see him complain here >>>/Ω/93062 All that to say, we don't do this kind of posting here. At least, I haven't seen the threads get this bad before 4chan got their soykaf pushed in, in recent times. I just expect the OPs here being a more substantial... and a lil less politically braindead, if OP is going to engage in "leftists illusions" or any other political topic in /hum/. Personally, that's kinda why I stuck around here. >is simply its small size and its overall irrelevance and obscurity Maybe it's just because i'm an old user, and that it makes me perceive it that way, but I don't think we can say that Lainchan has a small size like it used to. If I look for the increased variety of the topics discussed, and the amount of new posts, I've felt, increasing. Not a bad thing, it's just that people gotta learn to lurk moar and learn b4 posting.

>>14163 two of those threads are deleted, you may just have a patience problem. I don't know the deal with the /tech/ thread, its a soykaf opener -- But the discussion isn't going too poorly, even if 93377 has a point... Because I've told people to fuarrrk off back to /g/ for less.
