can we do something about the bloggers?

there's two threads that have been making me + other users uncomfortable for a while and have already been issued warnings by the staff. nobody engages with the thread except for OP to essentially log their continued thoughts on a subject. id prefer not to make any statement about the apparent mental state of the posters in question but they aren't encouraging of high-quality discussion at all and both seem to be very hamfisted attempts by the OPs to proselytize about a frankly vapid and selfish agenda. There seems to be no rule or precedent for this form of blogposting, however, given the threads were warned for certain reasons in the past and continued to be filled with posts, presumably by the same person of the exact same quality, i don't see why the threads are left up at all. For instance, in the bible verse thread, the first post was issued a warning for posting a bible verse with no other content (alongside a bible verse warning them about how the bible was against proselytizing). someone who I can only presume is OP proceeded to fill the thread with additional bible quotes or even lower quality content like a cellphone screenshot. threads like this push content of a better quality off the first page or site as a whole, and they alienate users interested in high quality discussion.

>>13110 The first image you posted is from my research and meets Rule 4 in terms of quality standards, and in good faith, I do not alienate users interested in high quality discussion; I only want to keep users interested until the thread reaches the bump limit to the point it gets deleted. I never have selfish agendas - but the /r/ thread you mentioned is for researching only and allowing opinions by all people here, making sure it meets Rule 4/high-quality standards by mods. Playing it safe.

>>13110 Regarding these types of threads, we tend to let them die organic deaths if possible, normally to prevent their posters from spamming threads instead of just posting in the one thread. But I guess we can look at evaluating future threads with additional scrutiny especially if they are already warned and then don't improve.

>>13110 >>13225 I'm actually a huge fan of the bible verse thread. Some discussion pops up in it every once in a while, and otherwise it is a nice change of pace. Of course, I thought the same thing about cl4mped-sama and gay-anal-kun as long as they weren't spamming.
