A lot of threads like simple questions threads reach bumb limit and are unusable for days or weeks, The people who need these threads are unlikely to be confident enough to start new ones. Isn't that something mods should be doing, instead of sitting around killing posts they don't like with fake error messages? Could that be one of the reasons Lainchan is dying?

I've corrected this issue in /λ/.
>Could that be one of the reasons Lainchan is dying?
If Lainchan be dying, it's because imageboards be dying. If imageboards be dying, it's because the Internet be dying. I find it difficult to care, about anything, these days.

I haven't found this to be the case.
But I wll look into templated generals as a feature, but most generals that currently exist should actual die at bump limit and not be remade unless their is discussion that actual warrants a new thread with a terrible op that doesn't specify the expected discussion.
The people that need these threads are best of looking elsewhere like reddit or stackoverflow for being spoonfed basic answers regarding how do I x on computer.
Yes staff can attempt to curate generals and there are several which are curated, but destickying and making new threads is currently a manual process that staff normally only check as part of board reviews at certain intervals or if users report that a sticky thread reached bump limit.
Lainchan isn't dying. And you making a Rule 3 false dichotomy about mods should be doing X and not Y, doesn't help resolve the issue you complain about.
Yes Lainchan needs more staff, and yes all staff are volunteers and any actions taken are on a best effort basis.

Not OP but I have noticed this multiple times. Right now in fact >>>/sec/22024 has been at the bump limit for 2 months.

Except for Programming most of the threads on Lainchan are now filled with 4chan type soykaf. There's little to no sane moderation at all any more. Instead of letting Lainchan sink into soykaf like this, it would be better to just take it down. A site is only as goof as its moderation, and Lainchan's moderation has gone full retard.

>is this why lainchan is dying?
>read board rules
>no arguing or trolling allowed
>jews derezzed immediately on sight for dishonest and subversive behavior
>suddenly no more spam to keep board moving as quickly
Mossad/JIDF will be missed on heavily regulated imageboards. Unfortunately, you need to allow more "antisocial behavior" as normal person nannies would call it to keep stimulating discussion, as much as I hate talking to retards that take everything at face value. As Mr. Bond once sang: "my nigga Ford told me jews make the world go round"

the board has lasted a decade and been host to quality discussion without allowing that sort of thing. mods don't owe you soykaf, if you need a fast-moving imageboard to keep yourself stimulated the problem lies with you, not lainchan
