With a color that matches the other point of fixation, Ritsuko's pink square / diamond earings. Pink at times symbolizes the innermost self, the true basis, emotions, and so on. Not the core self, but an inner "tru(er)" component. It gets even more apparent when you look into the coding within the company's history, very Evangelion and eclipse aligned iirc. It coming about as a dairy thing was due to my fixation on Texhnolyze and The Class. It just takes things and combines it all together to generate these outputs.
