lainchan / q
dead website
Joe Bloggs · 2024-04-26 03:11
i've never liked lainchan. the enforced niceness and the fact that it was filled to the brim with gender confused people always put me off. but i remember that a few years ago it was very active. these days it's beyond dead.
what happened?

It's very active here. You're just not in the right place :D
Also, it's not really filled with gender confused people. Most people are STRAIGHT WHITE MALES and that's just how she fuarrrken goes mate.

doesnt seem to be the case at all to me. not in the tech related boards. i remember distinctly that a few years ago it was much more active, i used to lurk here and would always find something new that piqued my interest that was posted.
these days i come back after a month and the catalogs are for all intents and purposes as i left them the month prior.
>Most people are STRAIGHT WHITE MALES
that does include the gender confused people if we're being pedantic.
but you know what i mean, they make up a larger % of the website population than you would expect elsewhere on the internet or irl. or made at least, even them seem to have left to me.

What is it with imageboard losers and there unhealthy obsession with trans people? Its such annoying culture war garbage like who cares man.

I have. Go back to 4chan and spam soyjaks or smth. You're not le ebic haxxor for being anonymoose and calling strangers online glitterboys.

>smth
fuarrrk off back to Instagram, glitterboy.
Also, ongezilig is more bottom of the barrel soyjak.party trash.
Kashire · 2024-05-20 09:28
Oh, I just realized this is /q/. I deleted two posts here. I mean, they didn't really have any substance, but still, we aren't supposed to delete /q/ posts for transparency sake.
Here they are. I can't get the picture of the "Fairly Odd Parent" teacher who is yelling "TRANNIES" or "TRANNYS" that was posted with >>12561 but you probably get the idea.

Ok, I'll try this again, hopefully you'll be less stuck-up and actually digest what I'm trying to tell you. I want to believe you're just trolling, but I've met too many genuine retards to have that hope.
Conversations. Need. To. Have. A. fuarrrking. Purpose.
Discussions with no purpose are worthless, and serve only as soykaf to dig through to find actual interesting threads.
Do you think I, and many others, like wading through low-effort garbage just to find some good stuff? Here on this imageboard, I've found great recommendations on /inter/ of VNs to try, personally made a thread where I was editing a pixel art image, and another lainon pointed me to some useful PNG utilities I didn't know of. /tech/ has a thread on some APIs, something I'd NEVER expect on 4chan's /g/ board. All this at the fraction of the sexual image + time-wasting question format. I couldn't count the number of "fell for the 16gb meme" dumps I've seen on the catalog, or the "you don't need more" baits.
People like you are just being incessantly toxic. I'd tolerate it if you at least provided some info instead of blindly calling me a glitterboy like you're SIRI stuck on an infinite loop. You don't even give any info or pointers to useful resources while talking soykaf. You just talk soykaf. That's what actually bothers me.
>inb4 obsessed
Sorry for putting a little bit of effort into a post, something you don't seem to have ever done. If you have a problem with this, argue without repeating "glitterboy" like an emo 13-year-old. Man, I'm not even a native English speaker, and I probably type better here than you do on your fuarrrking thesis. I'll continue to "name user" indefinitely.

Hello Kalyx. Just a kind notification that your site is full of very stupid people that genuinely piss me off by their brutally unhinged glitterboyry. Thank you for attention. Have a nice day.

Technically, alt-sexual prefs are being pressured into being less visible as a counter grows to the visibility that has been forced for several years down people's throats.
Advised course of action: keep it quiet about it and just focus on other talking points and try being useful to the community. This place has more to offer than rebbit.

the site was full of nerds who weren't into se eggs to begin with
now, all the people who would wear stockings to prevent blood clotting, are too busy patching up various AIs. Don't ask me what happened with the other "programming socks" people, though.

>>the enforced niceness
Putting in practice what Robert L. Stevenson predicted what would happen if you gave people way to much anonymity in his opus magnum "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" 140 years ago is the main reason why freedom of expression on the Web is at its worst. And by "freedom of expression" I'm not referring to this fine specimen:
>>13652
Who was probably posting garbage on 4chan but got lost like a stray, dirty dog. It's disgusting that a bunch of idiots use anonymity to do their stupid things, and because of these misfits we all pay the price. You probably think that "enforcing niceness" means not letting you say 'nigger' online. As Tyson once mentioned:
Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.

>i remember distinctly that a few years ago it was much more active
It was, genuinely don't know why anyone would say otherwise.
Ivan Petrov · 2026-04-12 18:46
>but i remember that a few years ago it was very active. these days it's beyond dead.
I posted in the threads, I made the threads, and I saturated the threads. I've watched the threads and my posts therein die. Eventually, it's a better use of one's time to work on his own spaces, like a personal website.
