The rules page does not define what are malicious archives.

As to what basis is the idea of an archive may cause malicious intent since such expressive implications are too vague and ambiguous. It is hopeful that clarifications are present because loopholes are present in an apparent form. One may form a construe with its spirit as the letter does not speak of it.

A zip bomb is an example of a malicious archive.

I don't know what clarification you are seeking here. Malicious archives are archives which are either a zip bomb or are malware or contain malware. E.g. The rule is asking people to not post any files with a malicious payload that could cause downloaders of the file to be comprised or cause service disruptions to the hosting infrastructure.
